Posted by namkotje on 13 November 2013 - 10:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

This is not Miiverse shots, this feature is for higher res shots, let's peeps see good shots of games they may wish to purchase.

Meh, Photobucket has bad compression imo and your screenshow is as large as miiverse screen, so I so no reason why we can't...

Not good. Kinda what I expected... well yeah, people didn't believed me and just drooled on the graphics.

Edit:

People should think twice when they see a game with nice graphic and stuff.

#255622 Onlive - A Cloud Gaming Service

Posted by namkotje on 11 November 2013 - 05:48 PM in General Gaming

I thought this failed like a year ago... :0

Well they had problems back in the days. However, they are going to relaunch the service (this Fall). But you can still use Onlive 1.0 right now. :)

A letter from OnliveNate (who works there): http://onlivehq.com/...&highlight=2014

"What we are planning to release over the next year is not anything you’ve seen, or heard about in the past.

So what the heck is it Nate?... Unsurprisingly, I'm unable to get specific at this time. I can say that we will be releasing a bit of news in the weeks after E3. Following that, in the Fall, we will release another game changing element of our future family of services. I can only tell you that these are cloud gaming specific announcements. They represent a fundamental shift in how we go about delivering games to our customers, derived from 10 years of development and service operation…and yes, your past purchases are safe. We recognize your investment in our service, and have no intention to limit access to what you’ve already paid for."

Also, some Onlive users are chosen to be ambassadors for the Onlive 2.0 relaunch, they recieved a mail with a screensaver/wallpapers(new Onlive logo) and even a flash game: http://onlivehq.com/...TE-ON-PAGE-14!)

They're coming back eh?<br />Do I get to keep the dues ex i bought for 10 cent before they went bust?

You will still have your game, even when other people can't buy them anymore. It's still in the cloud for you! ;)

#255612 Onlive - A Cloud Gaming Service

Posted by namkotje on 11 November 2013 - 04:40 PM in General Gaming

For those who don't know what Onlive is

Onlive is cloud gaming! It's similar to video streaming services like Netflix and YouTube except that, instead of videos, your games are synchronized, rendered, and stored on remote servers and delivered via the internet all in real time! Games are running on 720p 60fps.

Currently Onlive is fully supported in only 3 countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, and Belgium.

Onlive is going to relaunch soon (should be this fall), so for now there aren't any updates yet.

On what platforms can I use the Onlive app?

PC

MAC

Smartphones/Tablets with Android

Onlive's own Microconsole

Trailer (good overview on how it works)

More info

www.onlive.com (US)

www.onlive.co.uk (UK)

www.onlive.be (BE)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you guys think of the service? Have you guys already tried it?

I'm really a big fan of the tech behind it. People are praising the remote play on the PS4 for example, but with this tech, you could do much more imo! Also you don't need to upgrade your own hardware anymore.

Ofcourse internet will need to improve more to take more advantage of it. But that could be quick (who knows...). :)

http://onlivehq.com/forum/ is also a Onlive fan forum, if you want to learn more about Onlive or something.

#255555 "Nintendo Could Be Forced to Discontinue the Wii U Next Year" - Motle...

Posted by namkotje on 11 November 2013 - 08:33 AM in Wii U Hardware

the sad thing is he's completely serious. Man, gaming journalists and analysts are pathetic

And with the close launch of Next Gen, it will only get worse.

Makes me feel bad that I'm part of the gaming cummunity everytime I read such bullsh*t on sites or forums like Neogaf.

Isn't Rayman always doing bad in Asian countries?

Anyway, sad to see they don't have any interest in it.

#253302 3DS add-on for the Wii U?

Posted by namkotje on 27 October 2013 - 12:28 PM in Wii U Hardware

This isn't Sony with the Vita and PS4 and basically dropping handheld support.

This hasn't to do with that.

As you see, Nintendo already did it twice before!

#253285 3DS add-on for the Wii U?

Posted by namkotje on 27 October 2013 - 06:55 AM in Wii U Hardware

I'm not a tech guy, so not sure it all would work. But shouldn't the Wii U have enough power to (pre)render those games to 1080p? :)

#253279 3DS add-on for the Wii U?

Posted by namkotje on 27 October 2013 - 05:11 AM in Wii U Hardware

My only point is this:

wiiu3ds2_zps6f449609.jpg

Nintendo has done it twice in the past, why can't they do it again for a 3rd time? :)

And I really don't see any negative point about it.

#252927 Rumor: Nintendo bringing “Super Mario 64 reUmagined” and other updated classics

Posted by namkotje on 24 October 2013 - 07:04 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I'm 100% sure it's fake anyway.

#252921 Rumor: Nintendo bringing “Super Mario 64 reUmagined” and other updated classics

Posted by namkotje on 24 October 2013 - 06:15 AM in Wii U Games and Software

That's precisely what it is. There is hardly any new content to justify a purchase. Swing it any way you want, but it's the cold hard truth. This is why Sony and Microsoft fanboys laugh at Nintendo gamers.

Says it all, I really don't care what a fanboy think.

And no it's not just a port. They upgraded other things too. But if you want to call it just a port, go ahead.

#252917 Rumor: Nintendo bringing “Super Mario 64 reUmagined” and other updated classics

Posted by namkotje on 24 October 2013 - 06:11 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Yay, just what we needed! More ports! I mean, who needs new experiences when Nintendo can bank off nostalgia? Hopefully this remains a rumor. Then again, I don't even buy virtual classics anyway.

Not everyone is happy with paying almost full price of a brand new game for a port of an 11-12 year old game.

If it was just a "port" I would have agreed with you.

#252911 Rumor: Nintendo bringing “Super Mario 64 reUmagined” and other updated classics

Posted by namkotje on 24 October 2013 - 04:58 AM in Wii U Games and Software

it is funny i can hear nintendo haters now... "make new stuff nintendo stop relying on past titles". I love nintendo and they are my consoles of choice but we do need new blood. I loved W101 and looking forward to Bayo2 and X.... give me more new stuff. On a sisde note man i hope they make the Project Hammer Demo into a real Wii U game with open world HD 1080p, sick animations. Come on Nintendo!

Only just for that reason, I hope the rumor is false.

I also love to see new games instead of more ports.

If we get Mario 64 means:

- Super Mario U

- Super Luigi U

- Super Mario 3D World

- Super Mario 64

5 mario games in 1 year is a bit to much imo... so I hope the rumor is false.

#252348 3DS add-on for the Wii U?

Posted by namkotje on 20 October 2013 - 02:31 PM in Wii U Hardware

Nah, Just buy a 3DS.

Funny since I already got one.

But I wouldn't mind to play 3DS games on a big screen like I did back in the days with GB games on the Snes, even I played them on my GB also.

#252341 3DS add-on for the Wii U?

Posted by namkotje on 20 October 2013 - 02:05 PM in Wii U Hardware

I don't think the 3DS can be used as a gamepad. But it could be possible to support it. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but there could be games that use the 3DS as private screens for each user, with the Wii U acting as a overhead display. The Wii U could offload rendering work to the 3DS's GPUs, so the overhead on the man system is reduced.

With the 3DS add-on I don't mean that the 3DS would be used as a gamepad, but that you could play 3DS games on your Wii U (TV + Gamepad, since 3DS games uses 2 screen, like the Wii U do right now). :)

Kinda like we had a Super GB player to play Gameboy games on the Snes:
