What happened to that other game, fast racing neo?
They said a preview video was coming soon. When you get a teaser for the teaser, it's gotta be a big deal.

Yeah this game looks ideal for DLC. Seems quite likely given how much Nintendo have completely hijacked that bandwagon.

Nintendo are masters of compression without risking too much on visuals and audio. I have no idea how they do it, they must have an amazing algorithm.
Well in something like Wind Waker, (and Splatoon), I'm guessing their main tool is to reuse the hell out of textures. In Wind Waker that's quite clear.

My main question about this is why on earth it's a Wii U exclusive. This would sell a hell of a lot more on Xbox.

Because originally it was for PS3 and 360. used Relic Engine but then they went out of business. THQ picked up publishing rights and was on Darksiders II engine. THQ went out of business. Nintendo like they did with Bayonetta 2 swooped in saved the game and said they would publish it. Now it's on UE3. So like Bayonetta 2 if not for Nintendo the game would not exist.
I find it funny when ever MS or Sony publish something people either cheer or don't react. When Nintendo does. "why is this not on console X or Y?"
Well that's only cos it's better suited to the Xbox. That's where the action whores live. I understand the reasoning though. Given that the game was well under way, it was an opportunity for Nintendo to get an exclusive game at a lower cost than it otherwise would've been.

Pretty easy really.
1) Mario Kart 8- The best Mario Kart imo. The tracks are great, it looks incredible and DLC tracks is an awesome addition.
2) Super Mario 3D World- Very safe for a 3D Mario game. But perfectly weighted platforming with varied and creative levels. It's pure mindless fun.
3) Wind Waker HD- A Zelda is needed for every home console. This isn't the best and imo the sparsity of the ocean works against the pacing of the story (which is otherwise good). It'll do until we get the big Zelda we're all waiting for.

Lololol "it's good but I'm offended".
My impression of Bayonetta was that the character was supposed to be pro-woman but the camera was supposed to be pro-perv. Seemed like a fair balance.

Feels like we should've got some video footage of this game by now. He did say it was coming out before Zelda.

Weird coincidence with the toy story bedroom track. He can't have known Nintendo were doing something similar.

Fire Emblem Warriors son. FE universe is 10x that of Zelda so the DLC could go on for a long time and the game would be massive. FEW needs to happen.
Is Fire Emblem one universe? I've only played 2 games and they seemed to be completely disconnected.

That mechanic could work quite well in 2D actually. Hope they try it!

So does SEGA retain any actual rights or role in the game? Or has it just officially transferred to Nintendo?

Not the sort of approach I expect with this sort of name but I guess the early access approach is probably best for this sort of game. Lots of potential bugs to iron out.

They've been kicking themselves for not thinking of it first for about a decade now. Might as well just jump on the bangwagon. At least they can claim some sense of authenticity.

5 is thankfully easier than 10. After 5 I start worrying if I'm forgetting something. So top 5 of 7th gen:
1) Mass Effect 2
2) Mario Galaxy 1/2
3) Dark Souls
4) Portal 2
5) Xenoblade Chronicles (still haven't finished but I'm confident enough based on what I'd played)

I too want gamecube games. It'd mean I could finally get rid of my Wii. The only reason I hang onto that thing is for Mario Sunshine and Skies of Arcadia.
After that, as many Wii games as possible that use the classic controller. I use the Wii U gamepad as a screen a lot so that's best for me. Last Story would be good. If they release Xenoblade Chronicles I'll be annoyed as that's the main reason I bought the new 3DS.

Trails of Cold Steel looks quite promising!
Also crossing my fingers they don't mess up the RE:Revelations 2 port.
(someone should freeze-frame that video and list all of those logos shown at the end too)

JRPGs in principle. Recently though WRPGs in practice. (In other words a lot of my favourite games are JRPGs but in recent years WRPGs have been a lot better)

Yeah, this track is the headliner for me. Screw animal crossing. This is one of the best looking tracks in the whole game. They've really stepped it up for their DLC.

Yeah, I think Microsoft buying Mojang was the almost definite end of this possibility. I'm just glad I've got the Vita version preordered.

They've added another update that seems to keep the possibility open. Probably best to forget about though!

Yeah, I don't know how anyone could find the original Xenoblade boring at all. So much to do in such an incredible world.
