#115681 New here, but not new to gaming/Nintendo

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 07 October 2012 - 09:56 AM in Introduction Central

Sorry, I've never heard of him.

Ah OK. It's only because he made a song called Dragonborn, after Skyrim :P

#115685 Did anyone preorder the Wii U? Are you guys on the Hype train?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 07 October 2012 - 10:21 AM in Wii U Hardware

Anyone gonna be camping for the Wii U then?
Also, I would suggest to anyone carrying it home, especially in the rain and don't want to get the box wet, take a couple of black bin bags with you, to cover it up, especially as you could be prone to getting mugged if you're taking the bus or something.
I'll be taking a taxi home as soon as I get mine, as there's taxi ranks right by the shop.

He'd probably just get a massive migraine that would drive him to go to sleep, or he could have a seizure from too much computer gaming, or hallucinate from the lack of sleep.

Oh and energy drinks won't help, they worsen the problem. Drink the energy drinks, and you are even more likely to die from some kind of complication.

#115697 Zombi U bundle DOES NOT come with Nintendo Land (UK bundle)

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 07 October 2012 - 11:21 AM in Wii U Hardware

Ah London, that's probably why then. Those kind of deals are usually always in London ><

Still not that much money. We pay $100 for a single game here in aus.

And you get paid a lot more, so you pay more out. It's how it works.

Curious to see if the non Aussies will get redirected.

No the link worked fine (I'm in England)

Went in GAME today and they just wouldn't listen to anything I was trying to say, so I'll just have to shell out £40 on launch day for Nintendo Land. Preordered Pikmin 3 whilst I was in there anyway.

#115821 Keep your Wii Motion Plus remotes, or buy them cheap whilst you can

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 06:14 AM in Wii U Hardware

The Wii U one's to preorder/buy, that are EXACTLY the same, are going for around £50 GBP/$90 AUD/$50 USD/€70 EURO

If you can find the Wii Motion Plus remotes anywhere, and a nunchuk to go with it, I would do so now.

They're going to be very popular, and I'm trying to track one down myself at the moment.
Probably a hot buy at the moment with the WIi U coming soon.

Just sharing the news, incase people were getting rid of any spare controllers with their current Wii's when trading in, or hadn't thought to pick one up yet. I know most of you already know.

#115530 Launch day: What are you buying?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 08:23 AM in Wii U Hardware

What does it matter what I'm gonna buy? What matters is what YOU'RE gonna buy. I'm gettin games. Nough said.

the hostility isnt towards anyone really, so dont take it to offense. I'm just sick of the same topic scattered in just about every thread.

Wow, cheer up. We're all just sharing our experience together, that's what a forum is for.
So, what, it's supposed to be an empty forum is it? What else is there to talk about, when we don't have the product?

Dumb question, but was there any word that current USB headsets would work with the Wii U if you plugged it into the back of the console? I have the Razer Megalodon and if I could I'd just use that.

It has to be compatible with the Wii U. You can't stick any old USB headset in and hope it'll work.

Well my preorder has changed now for launch day.

At launch -
Zombi U bundle
New Super Mario Bros. U
Nintendo Land
Possibly a Wii Plus remote and a Nunchuk if I can't get hold of them before then

What?

My thoughts exactly

I think the phrase "pics or it didn't happen" would be very appropriate to use right now.

#115862 Keep your Wii Motion Plus remotes, or buy them cheap whilst you can

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 09:00 AM in Wii U Hardware

Surly would.
The pictures of the wii u remotes are just reboxed wii mote plus.

Exactly. It's gotta be the final picture as well. They wouldn't just rebox the Wii remote without telling us if there were any extras. You'll find all over sites that sell video games, and Google, that it's just the same remote, in a Wii U branded box.

The guy probably got confused with the rubber bit that makes it rounder at the top.

#115866 Keep your Wii Motion Plus remotes, or buy them cheap whilst you can

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 09:13 AM in Wii U Hardware

Precisely, and as I said before, if there was some extra sensor thing, like Hey Look Listen! said, then there would be something on the box mentioning it, OR they would've said something about it at E3 or any other conferences.
There has been nothing mentioned, except "you can use your old Wii controllers on the Wii U." That's all they've said regarding old controllers, and nothing about an improved version to be compatible with the Wii U.

#115868 Wii Fit U

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 09:20 AM in Wii U Games and Software

When is the release date? I'm from the UK if that helps
Will the original Wii Fit balance board work with Wii Fit U?

Has anyone seen Wii Fit U and the balance board bundled together?

And if it was improved i am sure that Nintendo would have mentioned it to encourage more consumers to buy it, they wouldn't improve a product and leave it unnoticed, they would want to advertise it and gain more sales.

That's just what I was going to add on the subject actually.
Why would they just start selling Wii U remotes, making us 'people in the know' think we're being ripped off with the same brand new Wii remotes for sale, if they were actually better and different?
If they had something extra, they would advertise to entice us in better, to make people who already own Wii Motion Plus remotes, want to buy a BETTER remote for better experience.

#115872 The age old question: Is a switch-a-roo possible? :o

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 09:29 AM in Wii U Hardware

You'll be able to change your preorder fine, because what they would do, is refund you 'store credit' (that's what these companies do nowadays because of the recession, and they don't want to lose out on money) and then you use the store credit against another preorder.
Obviously you do this all within a few minutes, but that is basically the process 'slowed down' :P

Don't wait until the day though, as they'll probably get funny with you.
Go do it this week or something if you're passing (I don't know how local you are to the store) and just say you've changed your mind, and want the Black version to go with your brand new TV unit or something. Just blag it ;)
If they've run out of Black versions to preorder, well then, you're probably out of luck.

#115876 twenty-something and wayyy too spunky for the Wii U

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 09:51 AM in Introduction Central

American's use "spunky" in a weird way xD

Welcome, I'm in my 20's also. 22 here :P

#115880 How long until nintendo reveal a new gamepad mini?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 10:11 AM in Wii U Hardware

Of course it's big, because the screen is also designed to be shared for mini games and such.
Have you not seen the videos, where the gamepad is shared between 2, and they're playing a game of checkers?
Nintendo have called it a 'personal second screen'. It's not supposed to be a portable iPad or something.

Also, this gamepad needs to appeal to all, whether it's a fat bloke with big hands, an old lady with not very good vision on the gamepad screen, or a child that wants to do some digital drawing on the screen.

#115881 Headphones and related questions

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 10:16 AM in Wii U Hardware

that's where the headphone jack is

EDIT - I'm not sure why it's embedded the video and linked to the beginning. Scroll to 2:57

#115912 Keep your Wii Motion Plus remotes, or buy them cheap whilst you can

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 11:44 AM in Wii U Hardware

I'm hoping when the Wii U branded ones come out, some stores will clear out Wii accessories. You know it will happen. I will pounce then.

It's already happening and they're pretty much sold out. I can't find them cheap anywhere in my local area. Still overpriced on Amazon and such.

#115941 Keep your Wii Motion Plus remotes, or buy them cheap whilst you can

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 12:22 PM in Wii U Hardware

-back on topic- where can I find a Wii remote in the UK, around £25 or less? Please don't suggest Shopto or eBay D:

#115981 Sensor Bar

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 01:46 PM in Wii U Hardware

In short, yes. The only reason the basic bundle doesn't come with it, is because most Wii owners will opt for the basic version, as it's less stuff, they've already got the other bits they need.
If you need a sensor bar, get the deluxe version, or buy one separately.

#115993 Where are the moderators?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 02:28 PM in Site News and Feedback

I have asked for a topic to be locked 2 days ago now. No sign of someone whatsoever. There's absolutely no moderation on this site, it's ridiculous.
Think I'll have to leave this site if I'm just going to be constantly attacked by people and no-one around to moderate. Not a safe place for me to post about the Wii U at all.

#115992 Zombi U bundle DOES NOT come with Nintendo Land (UK bundle)

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 08 October 2012 - 02:30 PM in Wii U Hardware

Why hasn't an admin locked this yet? Seriously. The moderation on this site is PISS poor.

Hopefully if I swear, someone will come running.

Why are you telling me to calm down when I am calm? I was calm when I was in the shop, I was calm when I posted the later comment, and I am calm now.

Your long post nagging at me tells me you are the one that needs to calm down.

I am not going to repeat myself after this. I was promised a copy of NintendoLand. It's my fault that I was lied to?

If you bought a product, and later it was missing something, and was lied to, and told the company had changed their mind, wouldn't you be a bit hacked off? Don't say you wouldn't and you'd deal with it, because you would.

Why does everyone keep attacking me when I'm unhappy I've been lied to about a product? It's totally unfair.

Where are the mods?
