Sjeeeeez. I have beaten the Lagiacrus for maybe ten times. Crushed its horns many times and even captured with some online buds. Still no horns I need it for the helm and to finish my Legiaset. Any advice?

Also, after beating a monster a meesage says 'added to gallery' but i cant find the gallery?

You can find the gallery by talking to the Felyne in your home. It basically allows you to view the cutscenes whenever you want.

How do you upgrade your weapons? I'm using a bone Hammer and I would like to upgrade it?

Take it to the blacksmith in town. Go to weapon craft, then upgrade weapon. You'll need the right materials and amount of money to upgrade.

On the bright side, if I ever need a break from Monster Hunter, I'll always have it on-hand.

If the toys are priced fairly then ok but I still can't belive they did this with a Pokemon game, even if it was just a matter of time.

If I'm correct, 200 Yen is about $2. In comparison a Skylanders figure from what I've seen tends to go from $10-16 brand new.

I was one of the RROD victims but at least you were able to keep all of your save data, purchases, and online activity. I'm getting the feeling I'll lose everything on my new one. I never really cared that Nintendo decided to tie everything to each single console until now. Really wish they would have switched over to some kind of account/cloud model like Microsoft and Sony. I know it's not the biggest deal to lose all my achievements and save progress, but as a product that was designed to play games and cost a good chunk of change, I'm pretty disappointed.

 

For my own preparation in the future, are you able to save everything to an external HD that will be compatible with another Wii U? If it ever decides to kick the bucket again, I would like to have everything backed up.

I had to return my 3DS to them a couple times, and I never lost any data off of that (granted my issues were with the shoulder buttons and circle pad, and not with much of the internal components). I'd say you'll be fine most likely. 

I have mine sent in right now also. The power light was turning to a blinking red when I tried to turn it on. The best thing you can do is to just relax, and hope for the best. 

While I'll admit, this is the first generation I've ever been a day one buyer, to my understanding just about every system has had some bugs in the first shipment. It makes sense that such bugs would be more common in modern day systems, especially considering how much more complicated they are to past consoles. Besides, remember how long it took Microsoft to get the RRoD worked out? As long as it doesn't take that long I wouldn't be to worried.

To be fair, this is one of the games that made me decide to pre-order the system. 

Well, so far it has an 8.5 from GameInformer. Here's hope it keeps that up with other reviewers.

Odds are they'll be all three in some way or another. Also depends a lot on your own personal taste in this regard. 

Just to let everyone know, a hit like that is not common place in this game. 99/100 times if you tried that, you would be rathalos food. A hit like this takes skill.

For the sake of repeating myself I suggest you go read my post again. My point is that third party sport on the Wii U is poor at best. A lot of the big AAA games being released for other consoles this year and those announced are not coming to the Wii U. Rayman Legends which was an exclusive and supposed to have been released by now is no longer an exclusive and has been delayed until September. Activision has cancelled three of their Wii U games in Australia. Things like this do not help the Wii U or its chance of being successful.

Your statement singles out TT games as just bringing a lazy port to the system. There's nothing here that would suggest this statement was intended for third parties in general.

The point is that they are putting effort into a new multi-platform title for the Wii U. The Lego Batman 2 port is little more than icing on the cake.

I wonder if the Wii U would be able to render more then one zone at a time of it had 8gb of GDDR5 ram.

I wouldn't be surprised if it could do it as is. This is simply the set up that Capcom has always used for maps in the Monster Hunter franchise, all the way back to the first on the PS2. If you want a game that looks to be shaking that system up, you should just look at Monster Hunter 4 for the 3DS.

To make the choice for Monster Hunter easier, they've just announced that there will be a day one update adding cross-region online, Off-TV play, and some free DLC to top it all off.

What does that have to do with my comments or third party support on the Wii U in general. Your comment makes no sense in the context of what I said.

You spoke as if the only thing they were bringing to the table is a late port. Cerberuz pointed out that the game that they're currently working will also make it's way to the Wii U (not to mention that there's also Lego City as an exclusive), thus it is 100% in context of your comment.

I have to agree with most of what you say. I'll admit, I probably haven't done as much here as I could (I'll openly admit Mournblade's done a better job than I have recently). Some I'd peg on laziness on my part, some on stress from school, and some on just taking more time out recently to play games (after all, what's the point of being on a gaming forum if you don't spend a good chunk of your time playing games). Before I turn myself around on here though, I'm going to have to deal with number 2 on that list first. I've let some academic success from the first half of the year go to my head, and now I'm paying the price for it. I've allowed some of my grades to fall bellow my normal average, and I need to focus on turning that around while I've still got some time to before report cards go out. I'm not too far behind, so it shouldn't take me long, but that's going to have to be my top priority until then.
