As a big Shenmue fan who was part of the shenmue community for 10 years I can confirm half of this and I know why. Because of us lol. Btw Yu Suzuki will not answer anything on Sword of Vermillion either. Dunno why

They liked how it turned out. THeir problem with it was 'it was too hard/sophisticated' in the Iwata asks. Frankly. Screw appealing to the people who cant learn how to play these things, they are destroying gaming.

holy crap. Chri Sutherland aka the very last peice of actual real rare talent still left (also the voices of many characters, like banjo and kazooie) just got laid off from rare because of the latest failure of kinect sports.... Wow.

Well yeah, one man cant make a whole game like that by himself. The thing to take out of this, is Sutherland, and a few other veterans, are now forming indie studios, to finally do the things ms wouldnt let them.

I had to do some searching but I'm guessing he is referring to MH: Freedom Unite being ported to iOS. Given how it would control terribly, I don't think it will take off, thus they won't move the series there exclusively.
