While Fire Emblem is a very epic game (arguably the best 3DS game yet), you would be a fool to pass up Monster Hunter.

That's a hard decision, at some point you do want to get both but I would suggest, since Monster Hunter is the massive game that it is, you may want to get that and play it until you can afford Fire Emblem.
