Reading comments around the web, the gaming community apparently cares more about story than gameplay. Why is this a trend?!

Is there more to it than that? That example doesn't sound interactive enough to really call it gameplay. It kinda sounds like we're taking the idea of "Walking a mile in someone's shoes" (That being Joel. Think that's his name.) and running with it. I've seen and read a pretty good amount about TLOU, and I haven't seen anything so groundbreaking that warrants overall game of the year.

Game of the year for story? Sure, it can run away with the award. Then again the bar wasn't really that high. I'm a little worried about how the entirety of the development seemed focused on a good story rather than gameplay. I really don't like the idea that gameplay is supposed to serve the story, because than its treated like an afterthought, and gameplay is what sets games apart.

Just in case I'm being an idiot, is there any way to select what game communities show up on the main screen after booting up the wii u? I really don't care about wii sports club. If there's not then there should be.

That's what I thought too, and I looked and couldn't find a way. That is why I felt the need to ask. Hopefully it IS in a future update. Seems like something that should have always been there.

Had a sudden desire to play Kid Icarus Uprising. Beam Claws with Runnung speed+3 are great for chapter speedrun challenges.

What's even funnier is that the argument almost every person who TLOU should've won is using is that it has a great plot, character development, and graphics. My favorite response so far is, "Don't worry, I'm sure it will win an Oscar for being such a great movie, but we're discussing games here."

Just noticed that if you charge a spin attack and walk into a wall, the Master Sword becomes the Master Butter Knife.

made it to the 44th battle in super rotation before the game screwed me over. A volcarona with one boost to speed should not be slower than a tornadus. My speed was 116 plus a 50% boost.

That tornadus would have needed a beneficial speed nature plus a perfect speed IV to be faster.

The game does use perfectly bred Pokémon though. That's why they often have egg moves.
