Classic controller works with Xenoblade and Last Story, the gamepad and pro controller does not.

Mutant Mudds is a 2D side-scrolling platformer. I've personally not looked into it, but it's supposed to be rather good, and I think there's a Wii U version coming out within the next couple months. As for other games to look into...I'm told that Nano Assault Neo is a good twin-stick shooter.

I really like it, it's my most played game right now. I grew up with racing games though so it sways my judgment on such things. I still recommend it though. They just need to issue the patch already.
