I can't download Sleeping Dogs (Free with XBLA Gold) while playong GTA 5. is this normal?

I don't really remember but I think that it won't download if you're playing a game online. I think playing the game offline works, though.

I'm just doing story stuff, but usually after I die or a mission complete thing shows up, it says download stopped or something.

Some games just won't allow you to download stuff while playing them for some reason. It happens with the Sanic games as well, I think.
