Is assassins creed black flag good if I'm a basic game player and have never played any others? I really want to play a pirate game and I feel black flag is the best one. Does it focus a lot on pirates?

As a a pirate game it's fun. As a AC game it's not good. As an AC game it has reallly limited characters and awful story. Kenway story is lame the Modern story throws out Desmonds story and clearly tscted on and breaks the 4th wall like a comedy. It serves no purpose. It was only made because AC makes money but Desmond death well the world did not end. Juno just forgot to destroy the world I guess. When it comes to sailing ships and exploring it's fun and can have a endless time....

The game as an Assasin is a fetch quest mundane thing. Way too many follow missions. The AI is terrible. Controls are dumbed down from the combat to the climbing that you actually have less control over it. Also sucks you can't draw yor weapons in loading screens or kill civs anymore. They limit you more.

Great pirate game, possibly the greatest pirate game ever created. Story doesn't concern previous games much with little nods here and there. Honestly it's the best game to start the AC series from apart from the first (even though this blows the first out of the water in everything).
