Yesterday afternoon I made a rojo adobo wet rub, and covered 2 pounds of peirced tri tip with it. I just pulled it out of the smoker after 5 hours and it is amazing.

Adobo is a spanish marinade, or in my case considering who taught me, Guatamalan. It consists of garlic, oregeno,lime juice, fresh cilantro, salt, and to make it red, chile powder and chili flakes, ground into a paste with a stone and spintle, and covered over the meat to marinate over night.

Well hot damn that sounds good, but after a week of camp food (heated eggs, ham and cheese sandwiches, and bad to average dinners), anything sounds amazing.
