Crytek chief puts on his Warface and says why Crysis 3 for Wii U ‘had to die’
GamesBeat: Is the Wii U from Nintendo even on your radar as far as making games?
Yerli: We did have Crysis 3 running on the Wii U. We were very close to launching it. But there was a lack of business support between Nintendo and EA on that. Since we as a company couldn’t launch on the Wii U ourselves — we don’t have a publishing license — Crysis 3 on Wii U had to die.
Crysis 3 was running on Wii U, “close to launching”, but canned

Does this mean EA has already given up on the Wii U/Nintendo in general?
Since Crysis is arguably one of their most beloved published games. And they didn't even bother getting that on the Wii U.

Blame EA. They are being way to butthurt right now because Nintendo is refusing to follow EA's greedy buisness tactics. I hope EA cans just like THQ did. Only when EA does I will laugh my ass off.
I say boycott the damn company and make them sweat.

Electronic Arts are Nazi's. Simple as that. If they didn't make so much from sports fans I doubt they would be around still. Gamers know what kind of crap they pull and are tired of it.

Welp, no EA games, that means all the other third party publishers won't have to compete with their IP's on Wii U amirite, lol. That should actually attract the likes of Activision and Ubisoft, Rockstar etc to push more titles our way.

If they do go bankrupt, rest assured that most of tese IP's won't disappear into a void. Hopefully Ubisoft purchases them.
This is where it ends

They must be REALLY pissed about that origin deal.

yeah, that means they will avoid to give nintendo fresh games... maybe oldish and past due, not because they love nintendo, just to get some extra bucks.
but thank goodness, I dont like sports at all, or in general EA games... only sims, but I can play it on my pc... "as a demo" hehehe

Of course they are. They released Mass Effect 3 instead Trilogy on the Wii U.

EA are just the worst company of all time, It's about time they failed and fell, instead of all the innovative and amazing dezs we seem to be losing everyday...

EA just hurting the people. Again.
Crysis 3 is perfect for Wii U.
And no doubt a huge percentage of Wii U owners would buy the game.
I'm thinking Crytek needs to get their own publishing license...
of course, this may be simply a way of having Nintendo look at them like they did with Bayonetta...
but the onus is not on Nintendo. They did nothing wrong. EA trying to force their draconian online scheme onto a console manufacturer or else withold games from a GAMES console is plain stupidity. But it won't matter how evil they are if Nintendo owners still buy their games on other consoles. They will just continue to do what they are doing.
