McMillen: "I want Meat Boy to be in Smash Bros. That would be the one reason I'd really want to develop for a Nintendo console."
Refenes: "That would be amazing! If they could guarantee us Meat Boy would be in Smash Bros., we would do something."
McMillen: "Nintendo are you listening? Smash Bros! We would ask for nothing in return. Just f***ing use the character. Put him in the game. It's free!"
Refenes: "If they wanted Mew-Genics or something and they could promise us Meat Boy would be in the game we'd develop Mew-Genics for them. Not exclusively, of course. This is how they would buy it from us. And that's a very cheap price."

That's awesome we need these type of Devs as Nintendo is about community. People don't but community makes games better and this is why Nintendo is in a league of it's own when making first party games. Back to business, I think this would be great as Super MeatBoy was kind of a Poster Boy for the indie community for a while.

The people that make that don't look professional at all but Super Meat Boy got high ratings and it could be good for Nintendo: they get another dev working for them and more people would buy Smash Bros because Super Meat Boy is in it. I hope Nintendo puts him in.

If only other devs were so easy to get on board
No kidding, that's awesome... "We ask for nothing else in return." Man, if all of them were like that...

Yes. He wanted Snake to be in Melee but it was too far ahead in development, so he was guaranteed a spot in Brawl.

I heard that here a while back. Of course it could have been a rumor.

I heard it was supposed to be on the 3DS, but they weren't allowed due to the heavy religous theme in the game

i think im the only one here who thought "no" to the idea. idk y. i like how they want to have their character in one of the biggest games of the modern gaming industry and they say "if you do this, we'll put our game on your system. we wont make one exclusively but youll get a port. thats the best we will do even tho it will help us more than it will help you." what? they couldnt make one meatboy game that was only on the wiiu at least?
