Fez creator, Phil Fish, says that the only way that the acclaimed game would come to Wii U is if Nintendo paid for it to happen. Fish took to Twitter to let fans know that it’s highly unlikely that the game will ever come to Wii U. Fez was released in April 2012 for Xbox Live Arcade and sold over 100,000 copies by the end of May that year. Fish has also previously said that a Nintendo 3DS port of Fez would be pointless.

“The only way a Fez Wii U port could happen is if Nintendo paid for and handled the port themselves. Which I highly doubt will ever happen.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

I absolutely hate this guy. He's a big douche and only wants fame and fortune. He only wants money. Mcguffin.

Ya know... I was very interested in buying this game if it was ever going to be released on either the 3DS or Wii U but from the amount of garbage that's falling out of this guys mouth lately I'm never giving him any of my hard earned money.

These guys have some success and they think they are a top tier developer, they arent.  Shin'en, Frozenbyte, and Wayforward have all released games that are just as good if not way better that what these guys created.  Team Meat had far more success than Fez, so I can see them being a little more arrogant, but they are still ignorant to think that the success of Meat Boy will carry over to all their games going forward.  There are tons of good Indie developers, Nintendo isnt going to get on their knees and beg for a Indie game to be on their console.  Heck, they wont beg for any game let alone a low budget mediocre game.

If Nintendo isn't going to go out of their way to "woo" big dev teams/publishers why the heck would they pay for an Indie title?

 

Either way it's just a shame.... The more Indie Dev's that we get making awesome games for Wii U the better.

Fish has put his foot in his mouth a number of times, but give him a break on this one because he is actually right.  The guy is a small time developer, and cannot afford to port it unless Nintendo pays for it.  With the current state of the Wii U installed base how can you blame him.  Btw......Fez is an amazing game.

^^ I agree with you but at the same time I can't help but think that he is just running his mouth to get attention.

 

I honestly was going to buy Fex the moment it was released for any Nintendo system if that ever happened. 

 

Now after the comments that he has made (very publicly I might add) I won't be giving him any of my money.

 

Opinions are great, just keep them to yourself if you are trying to sell a product that you created.

He can have an opinion, we're all allowed to. The way he expressed himself was extremely juvenile. He sounds like a whiny, butthurt, entitled 4 year old. It wasn't so much what he said, but how he said it. I won't be buying Fez or anything this guy puts effort into because of his craptastic attitude. I'd say pirate the game, but now it's not even worth it when he's put a bad taste in your mouth. Nobody likes an arrogant sob.

^^ Yup, that's how I feel too.

 

Everyone is absolutely entitled to their own opinion and subsequently many will differ which is great.

 

But..... The way that went about this is just awful PR for himself and his Dev Company.
