However, this doesn't look that promising, but it was done by people who made Metroid Prime. That would have at least made it a solid game.
It was made by armature studios, founded by 3 former retro studio employees.
Not 'the people who made metroid prime'.
In particular, we have the person who was lead design most known as the person who modeled todd kellars parasite queen concept, who was then promoted to game director who then began slowly ruining the series starting with echoes, and continuing with corruption. A fantastic lead designer, however, as a game director he was not able to match his predecessors who directed prime, Satoru Iwata and Yoshio Sakamoto, and slipped further and further with each prime he directed.
Todd Keller, lead artist. His work includes the conceptualization of the flower in which Flaahgra is situated, the Parasite Queen and Reactor Core, and the basis for Phazon. Keller also worked with Matt Manchester to create an ore with Phazon that is present in the Phazon Quarry room of Corruption. His work is just as fantastic as ever, but even he cant stave off the absurdity of realistic megaman.
And Jack Mathews, lead technical engineer. Who, although massively talented, is responsible for nothing anyone here cares about
It would have definately been solid. Even if i really, REALLY dislike the direction Pacini took the prime series when the rein were given to him after the first prime... They are still fantastic games better than 90% of anything out there. (But im still glad Pacini is not directing metroid anymore... Sorry Mark.)
But even they couldnt save a megaman X where Your publisher wants a realistic art style, ie original megaman box art...
It was a doomed concept.
