The software update for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U will be available on April 16th, allowing you to play using the GamePad instead of the TV screen, as well as cross region matchmaking between US and EU players. What feature are you looking forward to most?

I welcome the new features with open arms. However, I've noticed that some people refuse to play the Wii U version of MH (despite owning it) simply because they want to play it solely on the gamepad. I don't understand this mindset. I questioned someone on Miiverse who felt this way, and he said that it was because he was used to MH being portable. Why didn't he buy the 3DS version then if the portable aspect was his favorite option? Anyway... happy that it was finally confirmed, even though most of us already knew it was coming out on the 16th.

I'm super excited about this! There are times when my parents are watching TV and I'm dying of Monster Hunter withdraws :P . And I can't wait to play with my Australian friends too!

How is the online American mh3u community behaving until now? I play the euro server a lot and i must say thats it is a very friendly and social community. Not saying that US gamers are asocial but most online games I played it where US gamers got in things started to spiral downward. But maybe its more dependant on the game then on the player.

I haven't run into to any drama on ours yet, I think mostly because people prefer to type then use the mic. I do hope they add a bunch more rooms cause at night ours are pretty much pluged.

Loving the gamepad play- it's a bit less sharp but does the job okay.

I am all for being able to play the game via the gamepad. Granted, I will always prefer having a nice sized television to do the bulk of the gaming on, but with a game like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate that demands a good chunk of time invested into it, having the option to continue playing via the gamepad anywhere in my apartment will help matters greatly.
