Nintendo is performing online maintenance for all its systems today as it prepares the Wii U's spring system update. The update, which will introduce the Virtual Console proper (among other things), may be fully launched by tomorrow according to a Facebook tease by Nintendo of America.

The extended maintenance is scheduled between 1PM PT today (4PM ET, 9PM UK) and 7PM PT (10PM ET, 3AM UK). The eShop and shopping channels for the Wii U, 3DS, Wii, and DS will be affected, so expect them to go down during those hours.

can't they just simply give us a release date, i mean its not even that big of a update. first its "Spring" then its "Next month" then its "Next week" Just give us a date!

Some Twitter chatter suggests no Firmware update today and tomorrow they're just going to reveal what VC games will be available

So maybe there will be no update after all, i think they will show the line up tmw!

My guess tmw the spring update and wed vc! So maybe there will be more games coming to VC hmm...I hope for Rc Pro Am

If the update isn't today it will be Wednesday with new eShop games on Thursday. That picture could be saying that the games you can download will be released tomorrow.

Probably just the OS as its a system update. Individual games would need thee own updates.
