Birthday coming up. Was wondering if I should go with and iPhone 5 or the WiiU?

Honestly, I'd wait before getting both. I mean Wii U really doesn't have much to offer atm and iPhone 5 will likely be outdated soon. Especially with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which, even though I'm not a huge phone person, looks noticeably better then the 5. I'd ask for money, but that's just me. If you really want both, I guess I'd get the Wii U, unless you don't already have an iPhone.

The Wii U will be an investment that will last you a few years.  The Iphone 5 will become outdated in about a half a year to a year.

Ok, this one is super SUPER simple if you are seriously torn between getting a iPhone 5 and a Wii U.  

 

iPhone 5 is a device that can be used anywhere and will have an internet connection anywhere for VERY many different uses.  I personally don't like mobile gaming so I wouldn't buy a iPhone 5 just for gaming but it obviously does have touch games.  

 

A Wii U is just a gaming console that can only be used at home.  You can't text your friends with it, you can't make phone calls with it.  You can't navigate somewhere with it.  A Wii U won't keep you notified of new emails, tweets, Facebook posts etc.

even if you didnt get the wii u, you would be better off getting the lg optimus g, and even then, still want to wait for the galaxy s4, so either way, i would just wait, for both really, the wii u needs more games, and the phone you want is already outdated

In all seriousness, if you need a new phone, iPhone. If you can wait, Wii U. A new iPhone is coming this year. That means iPhone 5 will be cheaper when that is released prob in the fall.

This question doesn't make any sense. All I know is, if I had decided my birthday gift was going to be between two such high-priced items as a kid, it would only be met with laughter from my parents.

 

Not that I am still bitter about the whole Voltron incident....

Actually, to answer your question, do you have a smartphone? I have a 4S so I'd never consider getting the iPhone 5... If you do have a smartphone, then go with the Wii U. If not, you might want to consider what you need the most (yea, the WiiU and a smartphone have different uses).

iPhone will be outdated faster than it takes you to finish the first level in super mario bros.

 

 

The Wii U will be outdated fast as it takes you to walk from canada to japan.

My sister and brother have the iphone 5. Its definitely a lot faster than the old 3g iphone internet wise. However, the question you should be asking is
"Do I want to play one-of-a-kind video games?" or"Do I want the convenience of a smart phone"

The iphone 5 is probably a lot more useful than a wii u and you can use it anywhere. If you are a busy person and aren't always near a computer than get the iphone 5. If you are usually home and have a computer anyways, why not get a wii U?

At the end of the day its all about what you prefer.
