I think i'm spoiled by modded skyrim, but this doesn't look like anything spectacular in terms of graphics. I never played the original game, so I can't talk to the gameplay and story, but it looks decent at best to me. Am I just viewing a different version than everyone else? To me it looks like a darker, little nicer looking version of fable.

Game looks awesome.

While it looks superior to Skyrim (not OC mods, some of which are outstanding), it's simply not a graphical showcase game. By virtue of it running on Wii U / PC as a baseline, it does look better than a lot of games, but let's remember it's using old art assets created by Silicon Knights from a while back.
It uses Cryengine 3, but doesn't push it whatsoever. Even some lighting effects seen in Nintendo land are absent. One notable area is the lack of lighting near the torches on the walls. There is more, but basically, it is a nice looking game that seems to hold some serious fun, some scares, some adventure, and some neat twists. But it's not a graphical showcase. Nor is it trying to be.

Thanks for the reply, that clears it up more. Everyone was making it out to be the system seller we've been waiting for. Is it supposed to be open world at all? Or more of a linear bioshock type of game?

Its by no means going to be one of those games that will make a significant impact on hardware sales although it will probably help move a few more units. As for game style its going to be fairly linear and not open world.

Wow, it's going to be 12 episodes for 1 season?
Why not cut some of it and lower the costs?
$50 for the "full game" season 1 is a bit much for a supporter/backer/whatever.
