The sales do suck yes, but we know the games are coming. Nobody can still say the Wii U is a failure while Smash Bros 4. 'X' and the new Zelda are still in development, I mean did everyone SERIOUSLY forget about the PS3's launch!? The system had no games for 2 straight years, 2. STRAIGHT. YEARS. (Well except Uncharted 1 came out in 07 but that's just about it) everybody was developing for Microsoft's console, remember the Ps3 didn't have Bioshock 1? Mass Effect 1? Dead Rising 1 was a huge deal back then exclusively to Xbox 360? But that was when things changed when Metal Gear Solid 4 finally hit store shelves and it was exclusive to Ps3. Same will happen with the games we are waiting for.

 

You obviously dont remember the 3DS at launch?

 

No gamez at launch and the library was horrible for a year until mid 2012 when it was getting better.

It's to early to even begin thinking about this, most console launches have been just as bad if not worse than this one, the system needs software and let me tell you it's coming, hold on to your seatbelts!

also, how many people bought the Wii and used it maybe once a week at best? The wii appealed to casuals, and casuals bought it. The Wii U appeals to "core" gamers, and core gamers will have 2 more consoles to choose from shortly. For Gods sake, my sister owned a wii, and thinks the Wii U is a big ds.

The 3DS had absolutely no support for eight months, and was selling like 10,000-20,000 units in Japan and probably worse in America/Europe. What did Nintendo do? They released SM3D Land and Mario Kart 7. What happened? The 3DS sales were up tremendously It'll be the same with the Wii U. All Nintendo needs to do is release a Nintendo game that people will drool over, and they are back in business. 

 

Stop it with these "Nintendo is the next SEGA!" or the 'dooOo000000000MmMmMmmM threads" we get every few days.

"One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument" Thats exactly what this guy has done, said the wii u might die, actually tried to defend himself giving us reasons why its going to die just so we can have a argument with him...

 

What the guy with the cat has done wasn't trolling... he was doing the thing you are supposed to do with trolls and not have a argument with them. If you argue with a troll then they win.

a troll isn't just someone who disagrees with the general viewpoint of the group. That is what the OP appears to be unless proven otherwise. You can't just stamp the troll statement on anyone who says something that disagrees with you

But he isn't just disagreeing, seen some of the stuff he said afterwards?

first he says "I hope this is not true" then says "would you be ok with nintendo going to be a software company" Then completely changes his attitude and says "the wii id beating the wii u in sales that's just sad" 

Its obvious he's trying to cause a argument.

I hate how everyone forgets that a crappy first year isn't only normal for a modern console, but it's expected. Nothing on the 360 proved it was "next gen" until Gears of War came out a year after launch. Same with the PS3 with Uncharted (but it didn't really pick up steam until MGS4). The Wii was a different story due to ot doing something new, but for gamers, it was Mario Galaxy and Prime 3. The 3DS had a bad start until 3D Land and Mario Kart, and the Vita is now picking up steam woth Soul Sacrifice. The Wii U will pick up steam this holiday season with 3D Mario amd Mario Kart U.
