Update: Nintendo has announced it has entered an exclusive worldwide partnership with SEGA to produce Sonic games, the first of which will be Sonic: Lost World.
Nothing was revealed about the game other than a screenshot and the fact that it'll be an action-adventure platforming game for both Wii U and 3DS.

I now have a reason to get the WiiU instead of the 3DS. First Rayman Legends, then Windwaker HD, eventual zelda game, SSB4, and finally Sonic.
If SEGA remembers their previous successes, this game will be great.

Always happens after a direct, 50 threads about the same stuff, but I must comment on what will inevitably happen.
"Fans" are going to boycott the game for being exclusive.
They're going to baw, and port-beg.
They're going to say they don't care and Sonic has been bad in the past 20 years.

I can't wait for the new Sonic, but did we really need another "olympics" title? It's getting kinda old now and the footage for the new one looks the exact same as the previous ones.
Anyway, I hope Nintendo and Sega continue this partnership beyond these 3 games. I just wish they'd get it over with and buy Sega. I'd love to see lots of high quality retro Sega ips as well as new ones.
