Could you at least try to make a thread? Status update would be a good spot for link sharing.

Interview was done by GamesReactor, not NL. Also, NL is not owned by Nintendo.

I've only ever played one Shin'en game: Nano Assualt Neo. It's awesome, but too short. Despite this, Shin'en is one of my favourite developers, something about them just rings, 'we like making games'. Not many other companies give off the same feeling, (Nintendo does, as does SEGA if you've played Sonic Colours).

Just below that story on the same page is this story;
http://www.nintendol...graphical_power
Thing is the story linked to for this thread has absolutely no technical detail at all and is just a vague defence yet the story full of technical detail after analysing the gpu architecture in minute detail is somehow anti-nintendo or a conspiracy.
At the end of the day you either believe in facts or what you want to believe in. 2 different approaches to life and how you interpret reality.

They are spot on completly, I just can't stress enough that companies will soon be limited by price hardware wise AND GOD FORBID PEOPLE LIKE ACTIVISION AND EA HAVE TO MAKE GOOD GAMES!!!! I think they would rather go out of business first. I'm sorry but it's no longer about graphics, it's about who has the next good idea.

So the Wii U is more powerful (in some respects? not all I gather?) than the 7 year old xbox 360? How is this relevant? I want to see games that SHOW it's a lot more powerful. I get that you guys thrive on this tech talk, but it's all smoke and mirrors if no one can actually see a difference. As for "better" well, better is a subjective term 3dude, you know that. More powerful? sure, that can be proven, but not better.

Its probably not leaps and bounds more powerful than the 360, when you look at it from a cost comparison, why would it be? The X360 is $199 with a standard controller, Wii U is $299 with a tablet controlelr. When you factor in that the Wii U controller account for about $75-100 of the total price, it becomes apparent that the cost of the two consoles is actually pretty similar. From my perspective the Wii U has about $50 to $75 worth of extra graphics technology than the X360. The Wii U will just have some featuers that allow it to do some cool things that the 360 couldnt, but overall the system is going to be pretty comparable, you will just be seeing some special effects that werent available on the 360.

I'm not sure if a much more
powerful PS4 will produce much
better looking games. We've reached
a point where good games will sell
and I think the steps will be much
much smaller in the next generation.
But EA said it's crap!
And then again all of these devs assume Nintendo's competitors are OP when in fact some of the stats that are way higher (IE RAM) Wouldn't affect the graphics too much.

Exactly. EA and Activision are shooting them selves in their own feet by going for graphics as top priority.

Latte is packing a around a billion. (amd stock 40nm gpu's get 6.25 million transistors per mm squared. Latte is 40nm and 156.21 square mm.)
Source please? I havent seen that yet, that would change my opinion quite a bit.

no source, its a educated guess factoring die size and fab

360 numbers come from microsoft press releases. 100 million for edram die and 232 or so from xenos.Source please? I havent seen that yet, that would change my opinion quite a bit.

I love the gamepad too- I was watching the Spurs play last night and playing Mario Bros. It will be interesting to see how it is incorporated in future games. Just scratching the surface now.
I'm fine with the graphics and gameplay that I've seen so far. PS4 and Xbox will be better I'm sure, but I'm going to guess that you will have to have a trained eye to notice the differences.
