They have over 100 people and I find it hard to believe that they finished dkcr in 18 months but took like what 3 years to do this new dkc.
They have also expanded and hired people from naughty dog and crytek I think, would they really want those guys for a 2d platformer?
I really hope they have one more thing up their sleeves.

Wait... It was Retro that made DKC? I didn't even notice. Well, that's sort of disappointing, that could've easily been made in house. It does look nice regardless I admit.
I really hope that's right because my current pessimism makes me think that it's just unfounded optimism. Didn't they outright say it was a futuristic game or was that "leaked" anon sources?

I hope it's true cause I was pretty dissapointed. But wait, was it confirmed that RETRO develops this game..? They didn't have a hand in 3Dremake either. And other teams/studios could handle some creative leveldesign really well.
I hope there will be another short ND after this, some day soon...

They are are a wii u software showcase later on today.
Though I don't expect new game announcements probably just more gameplay of games we've already seen.
Also the nintendo twitter account confirmed it was retro's game

I didn't know Retro made the new Donkey Kong. A bit disappointing but this is great news though!

That was a rumor, liturally the only thing we knew about retro was they expanded, hired people, moved into a new building and delayed the game from being shown last year.
Well, I've finally found my Starfox, and I love it.

Oh wow, darn. Well I'm sure it's a good game. Maybe it'll be the first DKC I play but I was really hoping for Star Fox or Metroid.

Yeah ok my theory is probably wrong.
Just watching a interview with reggie and he said retro's big surprise was dkc and that's the game they've been holding back
