We helped Monster Games do the 3DS version. Sometimes we’ll have a little bit of extra bandwidth to help out other entities at Nintendo. Donkey Kong is great and it's great that they're working on it, but their talent lies in Metroid.

Also am fine with them making Donkey Kong. It's looks like it will be a good game, Although it seems to be overkill on how many people they have working on it, its only a 2D Side Scroller sequel after all.

I'm fine with just having that for now. I await future games from them. Perhaps they will have another game announced next E3.

I'm looking forward to DKC Tropical Freeze, being the big DK fan I am. It just seems strange to choose DKC as a "project everyone wants us to do."

Sure, it's Retro's only project.... until it gets released which is this year. So, don't think for a minute they will twiddle their thumbs and spend their free time playing Wii U Party....

Eh, Metroid is practically confirmed now; it just really sucks that it's coming at the end of the WiiU's life and not the beginning.

I love Donkey Kong Country, the originals were my favorite side scrolling games of all time, and the new one lived up to the past games! Although, I'm a little dissapointed it isn't a 3D DK adventure akin to DK 64...

I thought DKCR beat Metroid prime hands down. metroid was good, but I just didn't like the games that much. DKCR had so much nastalgia tied in with it too Although everything is just opinion I guess!

Yeah, if platformers are your favourite genre, dkcr is going to win hands down.

And the majority of people like those kinds of games better, thats why nsmbwii sold 20 million + while metroid prime, one of the most universally praised game of all time, only sold 10% of that.

The reasons are obvious why we are outnumbered, just look at the super metroid miiverse community.

But retro used to be the champion of the minority gamer. Now they just pander to the masses.
