lol Am I the only one who wouldn't pefer a more "OPEN" world Zelda game? To be honest, I haven't really played the modern Zeldas (Twilight & Skyward), I stopped after Majora's Mask, but I'm not too fond of most open world games. I tend to lose focus and end up derping around other than actually playing the game. Not too much of a fan of side quests either, these are things that take away from the story (imo). Deciding in which order you want to complete dungeons does sound like a good idea though. I just don't like the idea of it being more open than it already is. And multiplayer? lol please no.
but like I said, this is coming from someone who's only played OOT & Major's Mask.

Zeldas and metroids, the best ones are typically around a 4 on this scale. Recent ones have slipped to 3's and even nearly 2's.
Im sure most would be pleased as punch to just put it back up to its natural 4, and not really all the way to 6.

This could very well be the begining of greatness, hey at least the Universe didn't implode the first time Aonuma played Skyrim, every cloud and the like........

Good stuff in that link. Thanks for sharing.
GS-GSTLA must be Level 4-5. However Dark Dawn is probably 2, max 3 but becomes sorta of a 5 post-game. I'm talking about Golden Sun, in case you are ondering. But I digress.
Zelda taking hints of Skyrim can only do good to the series. I never cared to finish SS because of the awkward motion controls but I heard it's pretty darn linear.

Im all up for a huge open world as long as i can fly during some point during the game, As much as i liked twilight princess i felt it was let down with it's huge maps being way to bland which made exploring feel more like a chore. Hopefully the next world map doesn't segregate everything into villages and cities in one area, it would be nice to see the odd house in the middle of it to spruce it up.
This is where it ends

Seeing those scales I'd like a zelda game on a level 5 or 6

i just hope the new Zelda game doesn't inherit Skyrim's performance issues and bugs. Otherwise an open world Zelda would be a nice change of pace.

Anyone else actually not mind a Zelda in the yarn style similar to Battle Quest? So long as the open world gameplay is frickin' top notch, and level design is HUGE

I think they just meant the open worldness of those type of games. I think they Zelda Wii U is gonna be a massive scale open world adventure. Imagaine Zelda ina world like X(I mean the openness of it). Its going to be jaw dropping.
Exactly my thoughts. An open world Zelda would be incredible O.O
I simply hope it aims high. I haven't seen a Nintendo game aim really high for a long time (since Xenoblade and some indies).

Wouldn't worry about that Nintendo seems to have some good testers and debuggers. I actually wonder if Bethesda has them.

If it's huge amounts of gameplay then yes! As long as they keep the Zelda styled gameplay I'm fine with it.
Bleh eh eh.

Even if Bethesda has game testers I doubt they are doing a good job. I got stuck on a quest from the Dawnguard expansion because of a bug that prevented me from solving some stupid lock puzzle. Imagine going through the water temple and you couldn't find the last couple of keys because the treasure chests fell through the floor. It would be a nightmare.

of course there would also be an off chance the master sword would be glitched and you can't even pull it out, or epona runs backwards. I don't fancy quoting myself but I totally thought of this just now.

That would be awesome. Skyrim is, beyond any doubts, one of the very finest games that defined the 7'th generation. It's a titan of a game, a milestone.
