Should I trade the following:

Animal Crossing: New Leaf 3DS
Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS (got stuck on Chapter 19)
Star Fox 64 3DS (got kind of tired of this game, though good)
Mario 3D Land 3DS (got tired of this game)
$20

For some different games from Gamestop:

Luigi's Mansion 3DS
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate 3DS
Harvest Moon: A New Beginning 3DS
Resident Evil: Revelations 3DS

It's a fairly equal trade, minus the extra $20 I would have to throw in. I just want opinions before making such a huge trade, on whether I should or not.

easy answer. Are you actually playing the games you have now vs would you play the games you're going to get?

I agree, i have never traded in a game. I keep. I might want to play later and not about to rebuy or aquire a game I had before. All of the games you have and want to trade for are really solids titles overall.

Luigis Mansion is incredible and multiplayer mode will keep you playing for hours.

BTW, since the release of RE:R on all consoles, the 3ds title was sold clearance at Target and other stores. My target sill has a copy left for $9.98

I'm a brief collector but eventually I tend to get rid of my collection for other things. If it wasn't for selling and trading, I probably would have experienced half the games in my life that I have. The reason why I have the fever to trade is the $20 I listed is actually on a Gamestop card. How am I going to get anything there for $20? Lol. What makes it worse is the Gamestop I'm going to if I get something is out of my way, so I really don't want to spend a bunch of time on the road just to pick up Resident Evil Revelations 3DS, a game which can be had for $20.

Starfox and Mario I guess. If you're considering trading in Animal Crossing then you probably won't like Harvest Moon. If I were you I'd get the Wii U version of Resident Evil. So I'd say Monster Hunter 3DS or Luigi's Mansion.

If I wanted to go with feeling as opposed to logic on this buying decision, I wouldn't have asked here, bro.

are you sure you want to get mh on 3ds? Its single player only (unless you jump through some flaming hoops) which for some people, seriously diminishes the fun had (even i miss the feeling you get from having a great team), and greatly raises the entry barrier without people online to show you the ropes.

I agree with everything except Monster Hunter; the 3DS version is best used alongside the Wii U version, so if you don't have that, then you might not enjoy the 3DS version as much. It's not bad, but I wouldn't recommend it by itself unless you know someone that has it also. I would use the $20 gift card for an eshop card and get the GBC Zelda games or something.

I pretty much listened to people here and the little voice inside myself telling me not to trade, and bought a download code to Luigi U (the 2D Luigi game).

Sounds like a solid decision.  :)  .. awaiting the physical disc of NSL U.
