The achievement however was that Wii U managed to hit 1 million consoles sold in Japan so...yay for that

Also I'm pretty sure that it belongs in the Wii U software section, cuz I'm focusing on Pikmin 3 sales and console sales, but there are the other consoles, so feel free to move if needed

So it sold similar to pikmin 1 maybe a little better, but well below pikmin 2.

Makes sense, pikmin 2 had a 30 million install base when it released... while pikmin 1 and 3 are looking at launch userbases.

So... Pikmin sells like pikmin.

Will na make it bigger? Well find out soon.

Whenever I see Japanese console sales I laugh at how badly the Xbox 360 always does.

28k Pikmin 3 sales and 14k Wii U sales. Not exactly amazing, but it's not horrible either.

Also, as 3Dude says, Pikmin is selling exactly like Pikmin - decent enough.

Hopefully at least some momentum remains in time for Wonderful 101...

Well pikmin sells could he low because as said. Not many people have a Wii u yet and the game is coming out within a yr or release.

Not come Christmas it will probably pick up more when more people get Wii u.

 

Either way I like the Wii u and love pikmin, can't wait till it comes out.

 

 

And looking forward to seeing the Wii u sells this holiday in the US. How well it will go up with the ps4 and x1.

It's almost caught up to the 360's lifetime sales in Japan. Hooray!
