I know this is really old news but do you think this is a threat to the WiiU I know that the vita hasn't sold well so far and Sony has kind of stopped focusing on the vita but do you think if some key games have really good integration it could pick up the vita sales and be some kind of threat for the WiiU because I feel like at some point sony will make a vita/ps4 bundle that will have a PS plus 3 year contract like the microsoft did and it was a $100 xbox 360 with a 3 year xbox live payment plan. So do you think if the vita picks up sales this could be a threat to the WiiU the PS4 is only $50 more expensive I don't think it will hurt the WiiU but the vita ps3 remote play has better advertising than the WiiU so maybe it could I don't know what do you think

This is one of those situations where Nintendo has to have the mind set of "We have to become them faster than they can become us"

The Wii U has to really start cranking out sales and start gaining momentum, which it is perfectly poised to do with 1 excellent game a month leading up to the holiday season, Nintendo has to leech off of the life of the hype train that Sony created

Sony (always living in the shadow of Nintendos' creativity) might be too late to the punch to be able to really harm the Wii U if the Wii U has a successful next 5 months, You gotta think people arent going to drop 400+ then turn around and drop 200 more just for the Vita integration during this holiday, The PS4/Vita bundles hopefully will arrive too late into the Wii U's life cycle to really hinder it

I agree I feel like Nintendo has a chance to hit it big this holiday season with some great titles coming out along with 2014 having some killer games coming out I just can't wait for next year hopefully no delays *cough* pikmin

yep which I think is a good thing so devs that care will put some time into it and make some great things and devs that don't care can just map the controller to the ps vita

Well, having a vita and getting a PS4, I am happy about it but seeing how games that used remote play looked, not ran, on the vita, I think the Wii u has them beat ... The shape and size of the Wii u pad is better than the vita screen. In addition, with a lack of 4 shoulder buttons, its very annoying to play games on the vita that require 4 shoulder buttons on the PS3 \ 4.

yeah the WiiU gamepad was made for this, the vita remote play was kind of an afterthought although the vita has the back touchscreen which can be used in cool ways even though we haven't seen any yet but since the vita screen is smaller and has a higher resolution than the gamepad doesn't it mean the games would look better I'm not sure on this so correct me if I'm wrong

Well, jeez. At least provide a link to your topic.

As you can see, they're not demanding that every game have Vita controls/functions/etc, just that they all support the equivalent of off-TV play with the Vita.

I doubt it will be like the wii u. I think it's more of offline off tv play.
I haven't check into it much but with the ps3 you have to use wifi to remote to the vita.
So I don't see it being anything towards the wii u.

Now if that has change and it sends it our a different way so yu can still play online games , then in the future it may give the wii u a run but *cough ps move* last time they copy the nintendo they didn't so so well.

It will be great in that it works over the wifi network and won't be range limited like the Wii U pad.  My console is too far from my bathroom and bedroom to make it possible to play on the toilet or in bed.

They have to get rid of those extra Vitas collecting dust in a warehouse someone how.

i can watch an HD porn on my 60 inch TV with the Wii U though. Can the Vita do that?

Yes but the Wii U isn't as versatile as a PC or Mac in that respect. ;)
