I thought it was the processor that mattered most anyway :S and I thought RAM was just the memory of the stuff thats running ATM?? (if you know what I mean xD)

The processer does make a big difference, yes.

RAM is just? RAM is one of the most important things on your computer, and of course it gets doubled when you delete a file that clogs it up, which you can do on this website.

The Video Card (GPU) is the most importnatn part for gaming, RAM taking a close second.
The RAM is where all the Variables are stored while a program is running and it's MUCH faster than storing them on an HDD. Minecraft usually uses around 250MB of RAM, so it's not too important here, though there's massive slowdown if you go over the maximum RAM as then the computer starts shoving Variables into the paging file on your HDD.

The processor (CPU) is the least important of the 3, though it is still good to have a strong one. The GPU takes the place of the CPU for most gaming tasks, as the GPU is built for displaying pixels to the screen in a certain way and does a much better job of it than the CPU.

I have to go for PC, mostly because I do not own a Mac. xD Mac are ridiculously expensive. Also, Macs being computers for the artistic is total BS. I can run Finale 2011, Sonar Home studio, Painter 4 essentials, Photoshop, etc. all on my Sony Vaio just fine. I also play PC games from time to time. :3

PC, mac is good for work and school but seriously when have you seen a game for PC AND Mac? Sure it happens, but not very often.

You can, though it depends on your type of computer. If you mean in a laptop, you can't upgrade anything, but if you mean a desktop then there's a bigger chance that you won't be able to upgrade your GPU.

Mac is the good computers, but i prefer pc for the freedom of choice, i had an iMac and when your buy an mac you can keep 2 year without formating and without "decelarations" (Good ? lol)
A pc 1 year you must formating for a better system.

It all just depends on what you want to use your computer for. All computers are different, so they all have their advantages and disadvantages on certain aspects of it. Gaming, pc is better. Mac has alot of diversity, I have one and actually really like it. I use it for writing, researching, homework and light gaming though so if someone else likes it only for gaming and some homework I suggest pc.

Can Macs be updated? Because I know every other brand of PC allows you to upgrade the individual components as you see fit...

No. Only software and firmware updates. If you want to fix a spare part, you either send the thing in or buy a new mac.
Apple doesn't like sharing their hardware or software.

Err... 'Their' hardware? I'm pretty sure they use Intel and Nividia/AMD like everyone else :P
Oh well, Apple isn't exactly known to admit that they're not that different XD

even though the stuff microsoft and their platforms are more likely to get viruses, ill still stick with them, cuase macs are hard to navigate and they are for p****s because they dont get viruses, thats why macs are P****s and pc are out there getting rough and tough. Alot of programs are starting to run on mac now, which i am ticked. pc FTW. WWOOOOOOOOOO!
If you can't win, then your just another idiot to deal with.
