EB already put up the Pre-Orders as to being $598.OH GAWD. 3DS was $350 here in Australia. No way in hell I'm paying $700 for a new console, this can't be true. Keep in mind Australia now has a STRONGER dollar than America.
And isn't it a whole lot less than the PS3 at launch. Wasn't that thing like... $1000?
I remember people at school getting it, and people were like "Oh how is your PS3 going, moneybags?"

Well Reggie did say that the Wii U will be affordable but then other sources say it will be expensive.
There are no other sources. If it's not from Nintendo it's not a reliable source. It's a year off even, so not even Nintendo can say.

I feel bad for Australians. I feel good for Europeans. I feel slightly but not too much bad for America/Canada/me.
Why do you feel good for Europeans? The Euro is in absolute crisis, Greece were literally two weeks away from bankruptcy and Ireland needed a hefty bail out to stop them falling the same way.
All converted into US dollar equivalent to make it simple
US 3DS launch price $250
UK 3DS launch price $366 (though it did drop soon after launch)
AU 3DS launch price $379
Europe 3DS launc price $358

Then there's Mexico: $422!
Yeah, not getting the 3DS anytime soon...

How much was the PS3 at launch in Australia? Here's the current pricing for a Wii U Preorder in Australia at EB Games (which is probably the most expensive place to get one here)

What, Over ONE bloody THOUSAND AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS!!That's Impossible! All memes aside, the reason I asked was because I wasn't sure if she was being sarcastic or not. I'm glad us Americans wont be paying over 599 US Dollars for a WiiU at launch. Just one question, why is everything in Australia so expensive?
It was OVER ONE bloody THOUSAND AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS!!

It's not really that different though. I suppose the easiest way to put it is, we pay more, but we also earn more. If someone in America was doing the same job as me, in numeric value, would be earning a lot less per hr than me. So even though $600 seems super expensive to you, that's the kind of price I'd find normal.
And yes, the PS3 was somewhere around $1000 at launch.
