So what are your thoughts on the game? I just got this game from my local GameStop store today and so far it's a really good Mario RPG game. Much better than Paper mario Sticker Star which was a disappointment imo.

Sticker Star was possibly one of the most pointless "RPGs" I've played, namely because of a couple things.

  1. Very little actual plot compared to other Paper Mario titles
  2. All battles were just about pointless except for the fact that they let you use stickers

The only thing good about it was the 3D imo.

But Dream Team? Dream Team is fantastic. Good plot, good gameplay, great 3D effects. The only problem I have with it is that it is way too easy to get coins.

I love the game, it's the best Mario and Luigi game I've played since Superstar Saga. The only thing I find annoying is how easily I can mess up some Bros attacks by not moving the gyro sensor correctly, and for that I'm very thankful there's a way I can practice using the attacks.

I loved the gba one. Super star saga?

I didnt much like the demo. The first thing i had to do was a fetch quest in the shape of 'destroy the boulders', which had me traversing a map full of identical textures and assets, and repeating the same moves and simple puzzles.

The combat was super polished, and very imaginative... But, probably because of this....
I found the combat to drag on waaaayyyy too long.

The normal moves are fine and dandy, reminescent of the original, snappy little skill tests.

But the special moves, were given so much zany attention, that they go on for quite some time, as these little mini games, but they take so long, that after the first time i found i didnt want to use them as they were highly repetitive, qte-esque, and took a long time. So I stopped using them.

Unfortunately, boss enemies had no such aversion and loooooooooooved spamming their minigame moves, which were simple, repetitive and just dragged on and on.

The dreamworld in the demo was similarly devoid of anything... interesting scenery wise, it was pretty, and dream, like but the same dream assets were repeated every where I went.

I love the zany luigination moves for solving puzzles and traversing the area, as well as the bros moves, but i just found nothing in the demo worth using those movesets to explore.

Id imagine the full game would solve a lot of those problems by having interesting places to go and set peices to see. Though I expect the highly repetitive textures/reused assets to remain, and the combat special move minigame time sink to be even more prominent.

I expect the characters and writing to absoluely charm pants off.

This has me wondering if I should try a replay of superstar saga to see if I even still enjoy it, or if its just dream team (demo) isnt my kind of mario and luigi rpg.

I'm still working through Bowser's Inside Story, but I believe I will enjoy Dream Team.

Dream Team is amazing. My favorite is Bowser's Inside Story, however. My only complaint about Dream Team is that it doesn't have much of the humor the Mario and Luigi games usually have.
