Announced at GamesCom today, and effective immediately, the Vita is now $199 in NA and 199 Euros in Europe. Memory cards will also get a price drop in both regions, though Sony didn't specify how much of a price drop.
Will Nintendo drop the 3DS XL price? Nah, they won't.

Might consider this. $199 is the sweet spot. There are a few games I'd like to play...
Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

I'm not gonna hold my breath on the memory cards getting a BIG price drop. Sony's obsession with proprietary memory is what REALLY started killing the system

That's cool......but after todays conference on the vita, I'll be trading my handheld in, as soon as i finish Assassins creed 3 liberation.

apparently they lowered them by $20, so a 32GB card is now $79.99, still expensive.
