Hello, everyone! As you may have seen, I am new to the forum. Anyway, I have a question about the wii u voice chat. I DO KNOW THERE IS NO CROSS GAME CHAT. But I would like a quick summary of how the chat works.

 

Here are some questions I want answered: (if you only know the answer to one write it anyway  )

 

• Can you chat with friends and friends only, if so, how many people can the party contain?
• Can you chat with random people?
• are there CURRENTLY any wireless headsets
• what is the average price of a headset?

Wii U Chat is the only System Software capable of Chat, Video Chat exclusive, and that pretty much sucks.

Yes u can chat online with anyone

In 3rd Party online games however there is dedicated chat, however no party chat as its not part of the system

That question is pretty broad, as you can just get a cheap dollar store pair of headphones with mini-mic, or full on Astro-A40's like I had...before my cable got ripped...

Friends only.
You and your friend.

No.
You can add random people to your friends list.
You'll be banned if you ask for people to video chat with you in a public miiverse post.

There's no way for a wireless headset to work, it'd have to connect via usb or the upad.
There's plenty of ones that connect to the upad.

I ordered one for 24 euro.

Wii U chat is video only unless you block the camera. 

The Nintendo/turtle beach branded headphones are the ones to buy.

In the future they will add a lot of chat features, maybe even in the fall update.
