Nicalis is bringing 2D fighter Yatagarasu to PS Vita via PlayStation Network as Legend of Raven, the studio announced.

The game was originally announced for 3DS, but development has since been moved to PS Vita “due to the incredibly overwhelming response from the fighting gaming community,” Nicalis boss Victor Rodriguez said.

The game features eight hand-animated fighters from King of Fighters artist Kotani Tomoyuki, a new soundtrack, parallaxing backgrounds, and ad-hoc versus play. It’s due out in Q4 2013, according to the game’s official website.

 

A stupid move on their part not everyone is gonna run to buy a Vita for this game, oh well it's their loss.

I don't really care. Perhaps the fighting game fans really are on the Vita. Who knows? I know, as a 3DS owner that I personally wouldn't have bought the game. (If it was even localized.)

That's unfair. If a game was on the Vita that 3DS fans wanted, nobody ever would transfer the game to the 3DS.

What an excellent move, forget the 30+ Million 3DS owners lets port over it to the Vita, sooo gonna sell well, Maximilian goes crazy on the game but jeez, its not gonna reach the same level as Street Fighter, KOF, Killer Instinct, Tekken, hell not even Skullgirls. Maybe about 20k of his subscribers are buying it just to hear him as an announcer. I really don't care about it and I'm a huge fighting game fan. All fighting games are best played on a console, not a handheld.

We should all start asking the developers. Start a petition, ha ha. 

UI wish that would work. But considering how the Arkham origins multiplayer is going :/

The developers were probably just begging for an excuse to switch.

Heck they probably were the 12 people who asked for the switch.

I'm still laughing at the "overwhelming" fans bit. As if the Vita has millions of owners, lmao. I own one and all I do is play old PS1 games and ports on it since there is absolutely nothing to play.
