The least that they could do is make both. Both systems are good for fighting games. The 3DS has Street Fighter 4, Dead or Alive Dimensions, and Tekken, while the Vita has Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 9, Dead or Alive 5, and Tekken X Street Fighter. I never heard of this game before now, but more fighting games would be nice. Shame they are dropping the work they did though.
I call BS on that overwhelming fan thing though...

The Vita community is probably almost solely composed of Sony employees, that's all.
