With the release of Pokemon X and Y just a few days away, I was wondering which version is the most popular at this forum.  Let everyone know which one you plan to get and leave a comment stating why!

Pokemon X. I always choose by the package legendary. The deer's design has some cool features, and I'm really not into birds too much. I know some people think Yvetal is a Wyvern but... eh. It's not. Plus, I also like its role in the whole duality theme. As for exclusives, I just trade for them.

Is there any reason to get either one besides exclusive pokemon?

I'll probably get X (For the legendary) when I get the cash. I like Pokemon but theres no way it takes priority over Ace Attorney 5.

Apparently there are different mega evolutions also (I think?).  In past version (like White) there were also different areas.

I consider different mega evolutions to essentially be the same principle as exclusive pokemon. You're right about Black and White although I'm not sure if we have even gotten any news of something similar to that. So at this point people will probably base their decisions on the Pokemon.

I'm getting Y for Yvelta, Red and Black together looks great, it's wings glow and.... AND... He can fly.

So far there seems to be a preference for X.  I like the color blue and the mega evolutions seem cool.  I can't say that I find a deer to be particularly fierce or intimidating as a legendary though...but I also don't like birds...

I probably won't be able to get X or Y at launch but if I had to choose now, I would still continue to wait for just a bit longer. They haven't sepcifcied whether or not the current mega evolutions to Blastose, Venusaur, Blastoise, Ampharos, etc are the X or Y mega evolutions OR if they only have one.

I mean, you can still trade for evolutions but right now the only incentive for me to get it early is for the Torchic with Blazakinite.

I payed off both X & Y, but if you want only 1 then get Y since it has the best looking Mega Mewtwo and Charazard

At first I was gonna get Y for Yveltal because it looks AWESOME and Xerneas looks meh but then I saw Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Charizard X so I'm getting X because Im too lazy and antisocial to trade and I'm pretty sure that people will want super rare pokemon for Charizard, Mewtwo, and Yveltal.

I'm getting X because of Mega Charizard X and Xerneas. Although Stealth Rock will still screw it over, Mega Charizard X is the best thing to ever happen to Charizard. The type combination is too good.

It really depends on what you play it for. I have friends who play it that way, and friends who can grind for hours at a time on it. I would say yes, but don't be surprised if you find yourself slowly staying up later for the first couple weeks also.
