I don't think he is referring to graphics when he mentions " anything to brag about " but rather he is probably talking more about the excitement of the games themselves. Of course it's just an opinion so it doesn't matter anyways.

I would remove Titanfall from the list, as that's coming to 360 and PC. The X1 has more exclusive games, but the PS4 definitely wins on the digital side. The only games I'm interested in that I can't get are Killzone and Infamous. Killer Instinct looks alright, but I'm not that inrerested. The problem with the Xbox 1 is that nothing interests me except Titanfall which I can get on 360 and eventually PC. The other problem with these consoles is that you can get nearly all of these games on PC, especially the PS4 indie games.

Either way these the launch games are better than the wiiu. Mostly all the games that launched on the wiiu were better on the last gen systems and granted I haven't played on ps4/x1 but I can already tell the games available on ps3/360 are better on next gen. NBA2k14, BF4, COD, AC4, etc. look better and some significant upgrades to current gen. Also KZ, Forza, and DR are really looking like great games way better than what we got for the WiiU Mario, ZombiU, and mostly bad ports. Again I'm talking about systems I haven't even touched but I know these games that are coming for are good since their good for current gen and look way better on next gen and with added modes and such. Still like you said it is a matter of opinion since I'm one of those dudes that will like games like Zelda, Galaxy but also like NBA2k and Battlefield/Call of Duty.

Seriously Dreamcast and super Nintendo are king when it came to launch imo.

It's quite an interesting comparison to me. The PS4 seems to be on the digital warpath a lot more in the early part of the lifespan. This may or may not play well for my Australian internet.

 

I feel as though I understand why some people aren't so wow'd about these launches than the Wii U. I looked at the Wii U launches and felt quite embraced, however, the actual test was a flop. They did have Wii U content though, which wasn't nearly that exciting overall.

 

I think the problem with both the PS4 and the Xbox One is that they launch so close to each other. That's the real problem. They are so close to each other that my ability to suck up the goodness of either is forced out. There was no doubt in my mind that I was getting a PS4 but I would've gotten an Xbox One as well if it wasn't so close to the PS4. At least my wallet would've had a decent break between purchases. That's probably the only reason I'm not currently opting for an Xbox One.

PC isn't an option for everyone though. I don't have gaming PC. In fact I don't have a PC at all and refuse to use an inferior OS like Windows. I have a Mac for my computing needs which unfortunately isn't that great for gaming. That's why the consoles are my choice for gaming. I own a Wii U but I'm also getting both a PS4 and an Xbox One so I have the option to play any game I want including the console exclusives.

The only exclusive games that caught my eye are Killzone and Killer Instinct.

Oh man this is rough..... Got an overload of the most rehashed bland yearly multiplats and generic, borderline disgusting console exclusives (I'm looking at you Zumba, Zoo Tycoon and Ryse )  

 

When the only good game between the 2 companies at launch is Knack.....you know you're doing something wrong 

 

I am so glad I didnt run out and preorder these on day 1.... Thank you Wii U for teaching me of the horrors of buying a console at launch

Most games that come to PC don't come to Mac. Those that do are usually late and more expensive. Also I have a Mac Mini which isn't powerful enough to run most modern games.

Then you can say that Call of Duty Ghosts isn't on Wii U because it was developed by Treyarch and not Infinity Ward. They are the same game; one is just a lot prettier.
