GameCube games were more of a "eh, probably not, but we'll see" sort of affair.

 

Why the crap they haven't started on N64 games is beyond me.

It wouldn't be impossible, worst case scenario they have to hire the people that ported the n64 and dolphin emulators to x86

Look how slowly VC games have been coming to the 3DS' eShop since launch. It'll probably be 20 years before Gamecube games come to the Wii U.

Maybe they're thinking of remaking some n64 and gamecube games like WW HD, but haven't decided which games to do it to so don't want to ruin the sales of the remake by having a cheaper VC version.

Probably not, but there is definitely a reason.

3DS doesn't even have SNES yet.

N64, sure, there are a few good ones. But Gamecube? The Gamecube games published by Nintendo I like that was never on the Wii (or Wii U in the case of WW HD) are F-Zero GX and Eternal Darkness. (No, I don't think they could deal with Capcom and Ubisoft to get Resident Evil and Beyond Good & Evil.)

The only problem with putting Gamecube games on the Wii U is that the Gamecube had analog triggers, while the Wii U doesn't.

 

Could you imagine playing Super Mario Sunshine without being able to run and spray at the same time?

That never used the pressure sensitivity of the Ganecube Controllers. That could easily be fixed by having stand and spray be zR and move and spray be R.

The lack of SNES games on the 3DS doesn't bother me. It's the 3DS, it should be getting handheld games. What DOES bug me is the complete lack of GBA games. C'mon Nintendo!!!! I never had one!!! I want to play those games!

Nintendo has really dropped the ball lately, so much potential but Wii there needs to be some big changes made.

Nintendo never confirmed GC games.

They didn´t confirm N64 games either, but they are expected since you could get them for Wii.

 

After Wii`s VC i don`t understand why it`s taking them so long.

 

I hope it`s part of a bigger plan like releasing them all at once, TV ads to show off the VC. Something big.

Even better, stick every SNES/NES/GB/GBA game on Wii U and 3DS, add cross-buy support and add the ability to transfer save files.
