If anyone ele here has a Dreamcast and thet like Dark Souls. Record of Lodoss war would be for you. While it wa a more Diablo perspective is plays more like DS. I never seen the anime myelf. Or if you have a PS1/PS2 just snag Kings Feild.

So those 99c games I got on PSN

 

Retro City Rampage. Flat out awesome

Tokyo Jungle...I don't..even..what?

Crash team Racing. I hated the Crash games on PS1 but people went on how this rivaled Mario kart in quality. Well no it's average at best. It's a game that was made very conservative anda  very bland MK game with Crash characters. Not bad just average.

 

Transformed still my fave Kart game and behind it is SMK and MK64.

From Software known better these days for Dark/Demon Souls series and others may know them from Otogi,Armored Core,King Feild (that's the predcessor to DS)

Developed a Japan only Dreamcast game with the lovely engrish Frame Gride. This was a online multiplayer mech fighting game. Also has a couple story modes. Hard to find any good screens so will say the game looks very good for it's time. Can custom your robot like Armored Core series. Fighting without a second analog is trick y tho. So it's a bit like playing Virtual On in that respect and like VO it's robot fighting robot in a fully 3d arena. You can hover shoot or swing a weapona nd your robot is determined how it fights and looks by tthe answers you gives in the games opening questions. I did not understand a damn thing so picked at random.  Oh and can easily be played if you have a Gameshark by disc swapping. Fun game and super cheap.

Final fantasy crystal bearers.

What a fantastic, criminally under rated adventure game.

Fantastic world design, fantastic exploration design, fantastic world interaction, fun combat.... And one of the worst vo's EVER.

Such a shame the large majority of gamz girnoliz were so damn stupid they couldnt figure out how the reaction system worked in relation to combat, and actually thought the only way to fight enemies was to throw rocks at them over and over and over again like morons instead of say, feeding those rocks to the large floating monster until it got too heavy to float and drowned, or shutting a giant robots visor before it fired its mega laser causing it to blow its head off....

Criminally under rated game. Probably be a great buy for 10 bucks and anyone wanting a good 20 hour adventure with tons of replay value beyond just running through the events until the end of the game while we wait for wii u's library to blossom.

I rented The Amazing Spiderman 2 and Yoshi's New Island until wednesday. Spiderman 2 is really pretty meh, the gameplay is fun but everything else is a mess. Yoshi, however, gave me a surprise for how good and polished it is. I really underestimated arzest.

being honest in that I love brawlers and love RPGs and when they combined them it sounds like a hard sell but people seem to walk away happy.

Well I had a few small reserves but playing it I am shocked. It really does combine the use of Vats/RPG and beat em ups pretty seemless. Music is fantastic. Also a few cool things I'm not allowed to say.  It is alpha so it's far from finsished. REally great ideas and I had to play it by opening a .sln on PlayStation Mobile thing on my PC.

All these old siggraph lectures and college guest speakers, recordings, etc I dug up, containing excerpts and interactions with designers like Blow and Rohrer made me go back and spend some more brutal time In The Castle Doctrine. (I was actually present in the conversation when he came up with the idea of allowing the wife to have a shotgun XD).

Apparantly ive still got it. I managed to Rob 7 people before I came home and found my own wife and family murdered, and my vault emptied, and committed suicide.
