Madonna apologizes to you if you were offended by her Instagram hashtag that used a form of the "N word."

"It was not meant as a racial slur," the Material Girl said in a statement sent to CNN by her representative Saturday.

Madonna set off a controversy when she posted a photo of her 13-year-old son Rocco Ritchie boxing.

"No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out!" she wrote in the Instagram posting, to which she added the hashtag "#disni--a."

A bit later, as the roar of disapproval began surging online, the singer replaced the caption with "Ok let me start this again. #get off of my d--k haters!"

Her full apology from rep Liz Rosenberg:

"I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N word on Instagram. It was not meant as a racial slur.. I am not a racist. There's no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention... It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it's a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression. Forgive me."

TLDR; She tweeted something to her son that involved the N word (jokingly), people took offense got mad, and made a big deal out of nothing.

Madonna been offending people since 1983. Difference she was hot then so people forgave her..sorta. now she looks like Mom from futurama. So crazy old hags are not, let the circus begin!

I think she deserved to get all out for using it.

But I'm not just getting on her case cause she's white like most people. I think every single other person who uses it deserves to get called out, including black people.

Too many great people died trying to see that word die for us to continue using it in any form.

I have a weird few on stuff like this

1. She's a major celebrity followed by a TON of fans and other people, Honestly how stupid can she be to use the N word and not know that she's gonna get abused from it by thousands of people who follow her.

2. People should shut the hell up about it, she never used it against anyone in a mean way, it's just a word, like any other word in the dictionary, if she used it against someone then fair enough, but she used it to praise the kid with. How in the world is that offensive??? It's being a child all over again "oh no! She said the F word!!! Tell the teacher!"... This is why I hate people.
