This is the game that has caused physical, mental, emotional and psychological problems to hundreds and thousands and even millions of people. The game is really popular (you can tell just by press F on YouTube search and it's the third suggestion).

 

The game has Super Mario World assets and the game is ridiculously hard. You have to tap the screen to make the Flappy Bird flap. 

 

This game is horrendous. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT AND STAY AWAY FROM IT!

I'm actually kind of confused how this has gotten so popular. It honestly doesn't look that enjoyable or interesting, heck it doesn't even seem as addicting as most flash games. Can someone explain to me why people play it so much?

Just a fad brewed from the depths of casual gaming. People in my school won't shut up about it. They're bragging about their scores and whatnot.

 

 

They should actually play a real hard good game like Castlevania or something.

Because some people can't be ****ed playing a game with depth sometimes. That's why fad games like this work; they're simple. The scoring isn't excessive, the concept is easy to get without learning anything more than what is there, and holds competitive value. There are more people who suck at games than those who are good at them, even in an age where children are growing up with them left to right.

Basically, Flappy Bird and games as boring as it work because n00bs do good in them.

Welp, I got curious and tried it out. My thoughts: a so so somewhat addicting game based around an unfair control scheme.

 

Don't know what all the hype and difficulty with it is. People calling it the iOS Dark Souls/brutal/etc are just casual babbies that need to play actual challenging games.

Casuals like games that dont require any thought what so ever. Funny how a game like this can take the world by storm

It's free, simple and challenging that's why it's so popular; people like sharing their frustration with the game and competing for the highest scores. Smartphone gaming is about quick arcade-like gameplay like this. I know I don't always feel like pulling out my Vita or 3DS when I'm on public transport and if I do I might prefer a simpler game depending on the length of the trip, how crowded/noisy the environment is etc. Point is, a simple game like this, as frustrating as the gameplay and its simplicity can be, it works and that's not something to be angry about.
