I was thinking and what came to my head was... what would the Wii U game cover will look like? and then I decide make one.



Since the Wii U is basically the Wii with a touch screen controller and no Gamecube support. I thought maybe the Wii U game covers are gonna be like the Wii, but a tad different

Street Fighter x Tekken is an example for the cover. I don't know if it coming out on Wii U

Regarding the cover, nice job. I don't think the cover would really look like that, 3DS game boxes have black lines to symbolize the rating, right? Maybe they'll carry that to the Wii U.

I didn't know that the 3DS as a black line for ratings. If I knew I would added it.

i think they should go for a game box that appeals a little more to the hard core than the wii ones did. i hate saying hard core and casual but since the majority of people are stupid, nintendo will have to play to their stupid judgements. they should at least change the boxes in some way to significantly differentiate wii u from wii so people who dont look this stuff up online really get a feel that theres a new console and not just more of the same casual game dominated wii sections in game shops.
red boxes would be awesome in my opinion so its better for hard core but wont put off the casual like black would

I would love Red, because it is my favorite color. I agree they do have to make it different from the Wii Case.

Not in total agreement.
A lot of games that aren't casual (like fighters, RPGs and some racers) can easily get G Ratings (or your equivalent lowest rating).

How about white for casual games, red for core games, and black for mature games. Then for stuff like "Players Choice" or "Nintendo Selects" they can have silver cases. And then of course all Zelda games would be in gold cases(I would kill for them to bring back that tradition).

I wonder if they will make the cases white again. I mean, they made the 3DS cases white, but if they make Wii U cases white it would confuse the consumer unless they radically change the design.

Problem is, Nintendo systems are known for having their first party titles foreshadowing 3rd parties, so the 1st parties don't need any more of a high light then they already have.

I think they's still stick with the White at the top but be somewhat smaller than Wii Cases

Black cases are cheaper to make (it's the default plastic color) so it's not like they are making a decision to pay more by making it black, they are already paying more for them to be dyed white. So why not make them a different color this time around. (I worked in a plastics factory for a few months)

FPS & Hard Core Games - Black

Hardcore games should be pink! It takes real hardcoreness to buy a pink case! XD jk It's not that hard they do different colors in Japan because it literally costs nothing more then what they pay for it to be dyed white, yes some colors are a little more expensive but not by much.

Then the picture would be messed up and it would look completely weird compared to other cases...

I'm thinking of one that looks similar to the 'Wii' Covers but the location of the 'Wii U' text is moved to the left side.
(Much like how the 'DS' and '3DS' swapped sides with the location of the text.)

The white 'bar' on the top however should be black, just to give the more hardcore appearance.
