Super Mario 3D Land promoting animal cruelty?

Now I'm all all for animal rights, but this seems like another case of PETA going overboard to me - I don't see any gamer wanting a real life tanooki suit for themselves. Anyway, they've even gone to the effort of creating a little game in which you play as a tanooki dog, chasing Mario to get you fur back.

I'd hate to see how they'd respond to Super Monkey Ball trapping apes in tiny little balls.

If PETA really wanted to successfully chase down animal cruelty in video games, they would've done it years ago.

Trollolol, now that we have made all the Nintendo fans facepalm, it's time for us to make use of this blindness time to unveil our
new console, the WII PET! It's new games include that tanooki game chasing Mario and the revolutionary PETADOG! Which is
nothing but a Nintendogs rip-off, but gamers are too stupid to care, muahahaha!
I would like all of you to pay attention to the stupidity of PETA, this is all obviously just a stupid plan to unveil a new console. I don't know what their chances of success are, but if it can be stopped, let's stop it now. It's about time someone showed PETA who's boss here.
*This rant was taken from my twisted head, please do not take anything of this seriously. Wii PET, doesn't exist, and I doubt they would be able to make something like that without getting sued by Nintendo. Thank you for your attention, have a nice day.*

Seriously, beaten and bruised animals don't need idiots trying to save them, they're doing more harm then good and it really pisses me off. Also nice work PETA on trying to protect fictional animals you damn dolts, why don't you go petition Skyrim for Dragon cruelty and while your at it degrade some women by putting them in cages or making fun of fat people... Uuuurgh I hate them so goddamn much.

Actually a Tanooki is a real animal, it basically is Japanese for a Raccoon Dog.A Tanooki isn't even a real animal. Heck, PETA even defended Koopas before. Out of all the animals on Earth, they defend Koopas, which are VIDEO GAME ENEMIES.

It's a mythological raccoon-like creature that can change it's shape. Hence why Tanooki mario can become a statue. (Not sure if that's in SM3DL, though ) They are also very shady and tricky, hence why Tom Nook is considered one.Actually a Tanooki is a real animal, it basically is Japanese for a Raccoon Dog.
To the PETA thing... I honestly think this is reverse-psychological propaganda by Nintendo.
"Lol, what's this new PETA thing about?"
"Somn to do with Mario Land 3D and the Tanooki suit."
"Wait... The Tanooki suit is in SM3DL!!!????"
*Goes and buys game*

Even the animals know PETA is stupid.
And this... I can't use another image to express this stupidity:
They've gone an turned one of the best DS games for girls into... PETA is so stupid. They want to point the finger at other people, yet here they are using probably the biggest array of violent images than any other organisation. A quick google search told me.

I want to see Nintendo sue for this sh**. Reggie Fils-Aimes busting into PETA headquarters flipping tables over while Miyamoto goes apesh** with his Master Sword.
...that's how lawsuits work, right?
Now THAT is what I would like to see here.
