The Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition for Europe comes with a blue shell besides other pre-order bonuses that are also available for the Standard Edition.

 

 

What do you think, is it a fun figurine or would you prefer some other limited edition?

I think it's pretty cool. Not going to get it though. I almost never buy special editions.

It's just another plastic statue for Americans to cry about because they don't get it and instead get the game earlier for less.

Also, why ign has some killzone crap in the video?

I got an email about this today from the retailer I preordered Mario Kart 8 from and there's no way I'm paying £59.99 for a toy, Nintendo must think I have more money than sense.

 

I'm also pretty miffed that I'm getting a free Mario Kart 8 wheel controller with my copy, what the hell am I supposed to that with that rubbish thing?

Let's just say that is what I think about every Special/Limited Edition, wether it has a poster map, artbook, soundtrack or whatever. I want the game not the toys. So Nintendo aren't the only ones this rainbow gets done on a regular basis.
Are you really getting a free MK8 wheel cause that's quite nice, sure as hell beats buying one (and yes I know you don't use it but we have a saying here 'Je kijkt een geven paard niet in de bek' -> you don't complain about carp you get for free )

I`d rather have a character as a figurine - like in Zelda WW HD, with ganon - but that`s still cool.

If you pre-order, you still get a key chain. Nice.

Yeah i don't think i'll buy it. I bought the Wind Waker HD one because a Ganon statue is pretty cool but this is just a blue shell.

 

Also I HATED the blue shell in MK Wii so this will just be a constant reminder of my hate.

Mario Kart is not a series I would care about statues and such. That would be RPG's for me. Games like this or any main Nintendo IP I only care to get the game nothing esle.

 

Sega Racing would be different for me as it has characters from different series

I'd get this if it came out in North America. Not a big deal, but it kinda sucks that NoA is (so far) not bringing this to NA.

Already pre ordered it here in Aus, Trust me if we are getting it here it will go to the America's.

I really don't care about things like that. The only bonuses that would get be pre-ordering (for any game) are Soundtracks or collections of past games (like OoT/Master's Quest when you pre-ordered Wind Waker).
