It will last, but marvel has pulled the same storyline before, repeatably.  Deaths don't mean anything in marvel, they even brought back Parker, who was supposed to stay dead *or as a spirit in Doc Ock*

Gotta agree with everyone else, it's pretty much comic law now that whenever a character dies they're gonna come back sooner or later. Charles Xavier said it best: "in mutant heaven there are no pearly gates, but instead revolving doors."

At this point the only way a character can stay dead in comics is if someone high up in the company dislikes the character. Like Stephanie Brown.

Knock him out, throw him in a smelter, let the contents of that smelter cool so it hardens over his adamantium bones, the hardened material will negate his regenerative healing factor, then toss that sucker into the sun. There you have it, one dead Hugh Ja, I mean Wolverine.
