"Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice...."

Hence Nollog's point.  We've been fooled already with Rayman Legends, no DLC for AC IV, lumped in with PS360 for the next AC, etc.

Lol let's just create an anti-thread to this

"i think it's time to boycott ubisoft"

also i love your sig :)

as much as I want to boycot I actually do want to play the game. It was my most anticipated 3rd party game for last year until pushed back. Ubi is full of Sh!% but I do want to see what kind of product we get. No screen shot, no video, not even a mention of when we can expect the game on Wii U. also Nintendo should speak up and DEMAND more from Ubi and a better treatment of Wii U consumers the ones that bought the console.

To all the people saying or implying that we should burn Ubisoft at the stake, I'd like to ask:

Isn't Ubisoft the only 3rd party western developer that's giving a crap at all for Nintendo fans? Is there a better example of a western, 3rd party developer that they should aspire to?

Cause honestly, they've supported Nintendo a LOT better than any other western developer.  Perfect? No. But at least they're still giving us games, which is a lot more than I can say of other studios.  Just saying that maybe we shouldn't crap on the only dev that still gives half a crap about us.

And to those saying, "I'm just gonna buy Watch Dogs on another console when it comes out and forget the Wii U version" would it kill you to wait for a wii u version?  Is the game gonna be ruined if you don't get it when its originally released?  If you want to support the Wii U, buy the game for wii u. If not, don't complain when Ubisoft drops us completely like almost every other dev already has.

Sorry, just because they bother to crap on my face while all the others ignore me doesnt mean im going to grab a spoon and start shoveling the diarrea in my mouth.

If all they are going to support the platform with is crap on average, which is exactly what assassins creed: watchdogs has become, average ubisoft openworld collectathon crap. Assassins creed with cars. and at the very very VERY BEST, a game with a shoestring budget whos fantastic potential and avid dev team is nuetered because its on a nintendo console and thats all nintendo gamers get (Red steel 2, zombi u) which we will never, ever EVER see fully realized sequels to, because lol nintendo, we tried, but they just wouldnt buy our half baked products on potential that could have been alone, then it makes little to no difference to me if they do stop.

And after Ubisofts little speech about how theyd be crazy to not crap out an assassins creed every year, if not 2, because idiots will still buy them by the millions as long as they are told to with marketing, id just as well rather NOT have them AT ALL.

Its not like they can still make games like beyond good and evil anyways. Its not like they even want to.

Given your response, I don't think you were in the category of people my post was directed at, since it seems you don't care about Ubisoft at all anyway, so it wouldn't matter to you.

I'm still buying it (on Wii U), the graphics look fine to me, and its the gameplay/hacing that sold it to me. But I agree Ubisoft is meh, the Rayman Legends / Watchdogs deal, Rayman went downhill (can't get into legends/origins really, prefer like Rayman 1,2,3,4), most of their games are pretty much the same (Assassins Creed, Watchdogs, Blacklist, The Division), like most western studios.

this is exactly how I feel. I am still interested in the game and can only HOPE they put effort into the Wii U visual quality of the game. I dont know if people notice but Ubi has probably been the best 3rd party developer when it comes utilizing the gamepad so I am actually not worried about gamepad utilization. I am actually more concerned about the visuals and framerate... does the game actually run well.

You misinterpret his post. And while I don't try to speak for anyone else, he wasn't saying that he isn't interested in Ubi by default. He was saying he isn't interested in crap. None of us are. Well, a few don't seem to care. But most of us hate crap. And that's what they want us to buy. No thanks.

And another wii I delay? Guess they didn't learn the Rayman legends lesson.

I'm curious... What about the gameplay excites you?

I don't mean the concept or idea that you are "hacking"... I mean the actual gameplay.

From what I've seen, batman arkham games offer more hacking than this game does.

What 3Dude said in his first couple sentences is right. You don't treat someone like a king because they treat you slightly less crappy than everyone else, because the fact is, they're still a vegeta, and it's better you just forget about it ad be a loner if you have to.

If we thank them for treating us like the unwanted damaged stepchild, they'll think that's permission to continue to do so while laughing at how pathetic and idiotic we are. No thanks.

Btw I'm still planning to buy it if what they said about the Wii u delay is true.

Though I might actually just boycott them after that.

Well there is a SLIGHT chance the game could surprise and be off high quality. I know it might not happen but I liked what I see from the game and on Wii U consoles it gives my game library a variety I want. thats just me though I am hoping that we get at least 360 level quality with gamepad intergration taken care of. Its not all the developers fault its the guys in board meetings with suit and ties.

I'm buying the game.(and on U)  It looks like fun.  Then again, I may be in the minority as I actually enjoyed AC3, Blacklist, and LOVED AC4(regardless of still presently no DLC for AC4)

I too don't like what Ubi did with Rayman and now reversing their stance for Watchdogs.  But my measured response was to refuse to ever buy Rayman on any platform.  With that out of the way, of course I'll be leery of ubi's words still, but I'll still buy one of their games that catches my eye.

An outright boycott of a developer will only compound the problem I've heard many complain about in this forum: lack of games.  While I've personally suffered no shortage of games, I'd hate to start falling in with that lot if Ubi leaves the platform.  I wouldn't advocate anyone buy their crap either.  But, with different genres and playstyles we enjoy, crap can be in the eye of the beholder.  While I have no love for EA, I wouldn't even be able to bring myself to boycott them... as then I would have missed out on racing with my fellow shellslingers on NfS:MWU!

Yeah, that statement was very telling.  Is Ubisoft the new EA/Activision??  AC the new CoD??

(regardless of still presently no DLC for AC4)

Don't forget about the fact that Wii U has been lumped in with PS360 as "last gen" for the next AC game.  Bastards

That would be SO nice but Nintendo continues their stance of silence and wont stand up for their gamers and their console. It really is sad and one of the biggest reason Wii U is in the situation it is in right now.

It's because it's considered "unprofessional" to call people out for being d!ickwads as a company. Everyone should just be happy with the money grabbing and mistreatment.

I agree with Wydra.  Unprofessional for a company to bad mouth another company of the same industry.  It would be like throwing a co-worker under the bus.  Sure, it's done... but nobody looks at the thrower in such positive light again.  Cudos to Nintendo for taking the high road really in a world where entire television programs are based around the opposite approach.

And, to the U not getting the next AC game, it's true there's only been word for PC, PS4 and XB1... but that's not to say that's the limit.  Just the limit they'll advertise for right now.  How many times have we seen games not advertised they're coming to the Wii or U until nearly last minute?  Then, there they are, visible a month or two before release.  Meanwhile many have locked in preorders on other consoles... which is indeed a problem.  I feel like we go through this for every CoD release.  But I'm fine to wait and see.  Can always pick up for another plat release day if no word on a U version.  AC preorder bonus' are never exceptional anyhow.  Could care less about an extra outfit as I've never been that into barbie.  And, while the multiplayer's probably good enough for day one play, AC multi's only really good in small doses.  Besides, when I open the box, I want to hit up some of the single player first... and primarily single players can always wait for backlogs to get caught up.  ...if they don't have the name Zelda in the title at least for this house
