I set my Wii U's clock forward a couple hours so I could start the download early, but it will still take 14-23 hours on my crappy internet. Once it gets mostly done then I can do the rest using my phone as a mobile hotspot without fear of overage charges. Apparently it'll take up to 24hours for Club Nintendo to recognize the purchase, so I can't get a code for Wii Party yet. You?

I haven't gotten it yet. I'm in New Mexico so 35 more minutes until midnight. But I'm buying a physical copy tomorrow morning. After work I'll finally get to play

I downloaded it...deciding to play it on Saturday when I get relieved from Duty(US Coast Guard) I did sneak a peak at the graphics..looks awesome!!

Got it! Downloaded and installed it in only 1.5 hour. The image is soooo cristal clear

I'm having to download it because Walmart - the only location I could go to get it - didn't have it. Not only did they not have it, but they couldn't even acknowledge that it came out today. They said they set the mods (spot and tag) on Mondays before the release, and since there wasn't any for Mario Kart 8, they don't have any.

 

I think I encountered a morning employee who didn't feel like caring about anything yet. I can't blame her, but I did think she could have at least checked in the back for me. =/

 

Oh well. The wait is a little annoying, but my Wii U is hooked up by ethernet cable, and it currently says only 35 minutes left to download. I actually had yet to buy or download anything on the Wii U, so doing this let me know how I can do it in the future. (much easier than I expected from Nintendo, BTW xD)

I was gonna pick it up on my way home, but I forgot I may have a previously scheduled engagement.

So I might not be able to pick it up tonight.

Which means I'll probably just cry myself to sleep tonight.
