Nintendo is smart... have MK8 owners spam youtube with MK8 TV clips which in turn is free advertising for Nintendo.
Not to mention they get PAID for the advertising.
I just.. what a brilliant move. You can't one up that crap man.

And if it's a matter of money, they need to have DLC. Pretty sure they will given that Mercedes deal. I'd buy upgraded old tracks- and it couldn't hurt to throw in a bonus track or two. Not to mention new cars, characters etc.

This especially. The modern gaming industry and communities are horrible.

MK8 has sold 1.2 million copies over the weekend.
One. Point. Two. Million.
But Nintendo will always be doomed
HOLY CARP, 1.2 Million in 2 1/2 days... I was not expecting that AT ALL
I think Mario Kart is saving the Wii U.
Well, I've finally found my Starfox, and I love it.

Just like Pikmin DLC? 5 tracks, first one comes free with the update. Or maybe an koopa pack, 4 tracks and the koopa troopa character
I was just gonna post this. Do DLC like pikmin 3, dirt cheap but great content plus first part of DLC is a freebie. It works!

Of Nelson and Murdock. Avocados at law.
Attorney at day, vigilante by night.

Director[edit]But guys we should totally still fire Iwata. He's a total failure and is literally killing Nintendo.

While that would be nice, I'd probably pay whatever they charged. Most people would, I'm sure.

Yes, it's totally Iwata's doing that the only game of theirs to openly welcome online, is doing well.
Not the two main guys who have been looking after the franchise for years.
Paid advertising, Nintendo get the ad-revenue from all MKTV-posted content.
Iwata's name was in the credits as well (can't remember what under). I wouldn't be surprised if things like MKTV, or at least how it was handled were his idea. Also, he would authorize the giant budget, and he would have done the advertising boost we saw.

Honestly, DLC can earn them a lot of money. Lots of people would buy a few new tracks (including a character maybe) for 5 bucks. I know I would.

I will wait for the VG Chartz to tell us, but it could mean over 200, 000 sales worldwide for just a few days work!

I wonder if he meant new Wii U's sold.... 200k would mean around 20 percent of new copies sold went to new owners.
Try 1.2 million.

Just proves all the talk about how Nintendo should go mobile/3rd party is a ton of horse crap.
Nintendo games sell Nintendo hardware.
It's ironic, Wii U has next to no 3rd party support anymore yet it's my favourite current gen console. Go figure.

The diffrence between Wii U 1st party games and other games is that even if you beat the game your still coming back to play it again...and i think the reason behind that is your enjoying the level so much that when you finish it you come back to feel the enjoyment again......think of it as the feeling addicts get when there high .

Try 1.2 million.
And growing quickly
So you're taking credit from everyone else on behalf of Iwata?
Yep stealing credit from Sakurai for his authorization of the huge budget. Also stealing credit from SEGA for the advertising campaign. You caught me man.
Haven't made sweet love to my PS4 since last Thursday
I think Nintendo has been my main bae all along
How could you ever think otherwise?
