I'm not hiding behind anything. I'm just saying my opinion and people go aperrainbow like i'm saying it's the truth. You people act is if my opinion is unicorn tongue, wrong and should not even exist, while i just say a little bit with what i think, only me, no hard turth, only me. You are all free to like what ever games you don't like, but then i should also be able to dislike them too, right? That's my whole premise. Well, thats proabably a side effect of you throwing in with the biggest, most notorious, most provably factually wrong, most not good anti Nintendo stchick on the internet. I mean, the guy you are siding with began complaining about how stupid nintendo were for having a smash brothers tournament because he thought the tournament was for the wii game smash brothers brawl, and not for the new system wii u. When he was corrected, when he found at that what he was complaining about was in fact, not true, that the thing he said SHOULD be happening, in fact, WAS happening he then, immediately, without hesitating moved the goal posts and changed to how stupid nintendo was for having a tournament for a new wii u game. This is just one example of the absurdity you have thrown in with.


Anyways, you can absolutely dislike the games. Doesnt the change the fact that your goal post moving, agreement with well known goal post moving vegeta, and unsupported dismissal of (many games you probably dont even know what they are) a vast list of widely different games, including some of the best ever made, is going to give people their OWN opinions, on YOUR opinions. And they are stating them.

Also, the reason you probably heard this forums was better than certain others, wasnt because we were 'nice'. Its because we dont put up with unsubstantiated bs without a call for accountability. Tends to keep the real stinkers away.

Yes i know, and that's what i'm talking about. The problem was that people here could not accept that i just had a different opinion. I've played lots of Wii U games and i really just find about 5-8 very enjoyable, the rest i don't really care for, and that's all i said.

After that people just jump in saying i'm wrong, but how can i be? I love Chrono Trigger for the SNES to death but that does not mean people can't HATE or dislike the game, of course they can. But the two guys that posted to me here just randomly bash me cause i said i dont like the Wii U library too much.

This is the most not good conversation i've ever had. The only thing I've got out of this is: "You don't like every Wii U game, therefor you are stupid", and i got that for saying i dont like all Wii U games and that it's only my opinion (even though i probably share it with others, you can't like every game.). I should not have to go in depth and tell you why i dont like Last Story or Tropical Freeze for example, if i dont like them, i just dont. Why are you people making such a big deal out of it?

I know ive only said it five or six times, and it will take another twenty before you start adjusting your strawmen to what was actually said and not the imaginary narrative in your head.

But the problem we have with your opinions isnt what they are, but the fact they are completely unfounded, and unsubstantiated by you. Without a REASON why, the only thing you are doing is crapping on great games you dont know anything about, in order to poorly substantiate an opinion you made earlier, agreeing with the biggest anti nintendo vegeta personality on the internet. You are crapping on great games, with no provided reasons, in order to agree with Pachter.

I cant STAND the fact the wii u is flooded with 2d platformers, or games with similar mechanics to 2d platformers. I am saturated beyond my tolerance point for them, and completely starving on other genres I enjoy much better.

Even then I am not so crass as to call those games I dont want 'Bad'. I explain why I dont like them, what I want, what they dont give me, and I of course, recognize them for being outstanding entries in their genre. But they are not what I want.

I even praised Nintendo in my original post in this thread for doing something new with every new game, even though they reuse the same characters they most of the time do something new and super cool. Did any of you care about that? NO, the only thing you attack and care about are the sole fact that i DONT LIKE EVERY WII U GAME. That's what it has been about from the start and don't come here trying to make it like it's something different, that's where the whole discussion started, me doing thinking most games on WiI U are good, and you among others started hating.

I can say this, i love Super Mario 3D World. It's my favorite Super Mario game with Super Mario Bros 3. I like the looks, i like the multi-player music and the gameplay. I've been bashed to death for liking this game cause it does nothing new or is not as good as Super Mario Galaxy. 

So plz, just drop this unicorn tongue and accept the fact that the Wii U Games i have i like really much (which is 5-6 games, cant' remember right now), and the others i dont think are good, for what ever reason. That should be enough. I've never had anyone, friend, foe, stranger being such a virile stallion like you just cause i have a different opinion. This is how it usually goes:

1. Ahhh okay. It seems I was just getting confused by your wording. When you said Nintendo "have not been putting out many good games for their console", I thought you meant, like, 1 or 2 games they've release for the Wii U were good. 5-8 is "many" to me, so we just had different definitions. I just don't see why 5-8 very enjoyable games aren't enough for one and a half years...

 

2. Yup, you were merely stating your opinion, and we're responding with ours. I don't think I ever jumped on you for having a different opinion, and I do think it was wrong for some of the other members here to get so defensive about an opinion (seriously, 3Dude, I expected more from you...  JK).

 

3. I'm sorry... Why? It sounded like you disliked most of the Wii U's library, so I found it odd that you would want to be a part of a Wii U fan site. I see now that I misunderstood, and you actually do enjoy a good number of Wii U games. Sorry about that.

That and "I was siding with him on that one thing" contradict each other completely, so I think much of this disagreement is more of a misunderstanding. To avoid people taking what you say the wrong way in the future, I'd suggest you make sure you only post what you most definitely, literally mean. Otherwise, people will argue and bash you for something you didn't even say.

Again, you came in here, and agreed full stop with Micheal pachter. Probably without even bothering to see what he actually said or the context he said it in. WHich is most likely the case as you seemed genuinely surprised to see an example of what you were agreeing with when I provided it to you later down the road.

You refused to state your reasons, leaving your reasons up to micheal pachter who you were agreeing with.

Also your affinity for strawmen do not leave a favourable impression of your character.

I want you to explain because I dont think you are a worthless vegeta like Micheal pachter(s internet personality, he is actually a completely different person in his actual analysis journals) who you are unwittingly agreeing with.

I also think most of your 'complaints' could be fictional misinformation directly or indirectly given to you at the hands of 'gamz girnolizm'.

I could go on for paragraphs about the many ways the last story fails to capitilize on its potential, or its ludonarrative dissonance, or how it takes many hours to become something worth playing and stop being all around cringe worthy, but even then,it would be incredibly obtuse for me to say its a 'bad game' even if those things in particular were enough for me to be turned off.

1. Well it depends on how you take it and i can agree that what i typed was a bit weird, but i still think that most of the games for Wii U are really nothing special even though i like quite a few. Zombi U is pretty much my favorite cause it really does something fun and new with the Wii U Gamepad. Mario 3D world is one of my favorite Mario games ever, but it does not do anything cool of special for the system. 

2. Stating an opinion (which you can understand right now when it comes to me) is just fine. I've typed this here in the thread myself. There really is no need to explain why either. If you dont like anything, that's it. There is nothing more to it. Best way would be to ASK WHY i did not like most of the Wii U game were out. That would have been a totally different story and i perhaps would have told you guys.

3. Why would you have to love everything about a system or anything to be part of a fan site? I'm very active in the Thundercats community (an old 80's cartoon) and i probably dislike more things about the show than i like, but those few things i like is enough for me to stay and be active there, same goes for the Wii U. Zombi U is in my opinion a very terrible game, bugs and weird game play choices that ruin it, but the reason i like it (again) is the usage of the gamepad. I think it's so unique and fun that i can look past it's flaws.

Well i notice now where the hate is coming from. 

My first post was just badly written. I dont fully agree with what Pachter was saying and it's probably here the confusion began.

This is the sentence pretty much right? I was referring to his comments about them using the same franchises over and over.and i think that is a good and bad thing for Nintendo. People want to see new stuff, which they get but in another Mario or Zelda game. We play these games over and over, and for us that play them we know many of them are very different in how they are played (even though the core is the same) but for many others outside it feels like they do the same thing over and over which i also think is a problem. It's not really good that potential consumers think Nintendo does something new, so instead of doing this new super cool game and put Zelda on the cover, why not try something different with Zelda and try to make a new IP which can drag new players in, Zelda will sell anyway.

But i now understand that you were not so much hating on me cause i dont like all Wii U games but that fact that i sounded like i was with Pach the whole way and think's he is right. No i dont think he is. The only thing i can agree upon is Nintendo using the same old franchises over and over, but it's most of the time not a bad thing, considering most of the Mario platformers and Zelda titles are godlike.

I'm very active in the Thundercats community (an old 80's cartoon) and i probably dislike more things about the show than i like, but those few things i like is enough for me to stay and be active there, same goes for the Wii U. Zombi U is in my opinion a very terrible game, bugs and weird game play choices that ruin it, but the reason i like it (again) is the usage of the gamepad. I think it's so unique and fun that i can look past it's flaws.

4. Now i'm really off-track. I thought people were commenting about someone i quoted, not Pacther himself haha. Yes that's my bad definitely. Sorry about that one.


Well i notice now where the hate is coming from.

My first post was just badly written. I dont fully agree with what Pachter was saying and it's probably here the confusion began.

This is the sentence pretty much right? I was referring to his comments about them using the same franchises over and over.and i think that is a good and bad thing for Nintendo. People want to see new stuff, which they get but in another Mario or Zelda game. We play these games over and over, and for us that play them we know many of them are very different in how they are played (even though the core is the same) but for many others outside it feels like they do the same thing over and over which i also think is a problem. Of course.

And yeah, Nintendo does use the same franchises. It pays the bills. But thats not all they do, which is a lot more than can be said for many other publishers.

But take a look at how many of those entries there are, over the time period since they existed... and then compare them to how many entries of popular AAA titles over the course of just this last generation.

Like say mario kart. 8 entries over twenty plus years. Call of duty, 20 plus entries over 8 years.

It gets really hard to point fingers at Nintendo all of a sudden.... When the fact of the matter is, they are by far have the most robust variety of new and varied experiences, while simultaneously milking their own established franchises less.... Especially since the newest trend being pushed by large publishing house is to reskin a pre existing game series with a new character and narrative, and a 1.7 billion dollar marketing budget.

I'm not hiding behind anything. I'm just saying my opinion and people go aperrainbow like i'm saying it's the truth. You people act is if my opinion is unicorn tongue, wrong and should not even exist, while i just say a little bit of with what i think, only me, no hard turth, only me. You are all free to like what ever games you want, but then i should also be able to dislike them too, right? That's my whole premise. "I don't like these games" but then you guys go "they are good and your opinion suck", but i can still dislike the games right? Right? Not saying they are bad, but if they are not my cup of tea, i can still dislike them, right? RIGHT?! Good.
You just need to calm down and let people open up. Why would i even spend time discussing my opinion when you just dismiss them the first thing that happens.

Well that bolded part originally said jerks like you or something like that, but anyway, I know it's hard to quit when several people are being jerks about something to you when you're correct, but you should quit. For the record I agree with you. All you did was share your (supposedly weak(?) lol guess that matters)opinion but these guys aren't actually concerned about your opinion. They're upset and won't leave you alone because you agreed with Pachter, and because "the Wii U is selling like carp because of idiots like this guy who don't appreciate good games and believe the idiot game journalists. This is what's killing the game industry." or some carp.

 

Bottom line? Right or wrong, these guys(mostly 3Dude) care too much about video games. You shouldn't let yourself fall into that trap.  Just leave it be like you said you would. If it's bad to explain a joke it's worse to explain yourself to one.

Well it was all a misunderstanding so i hold no grudge anymore. rainbow happens and we move on with our lives.
