Using Skype on your platform requires paying Microsoft
nintendo doesn't compete with microsoft, only its gaming division, since skype has nothing to do with the gaming division, its possible they will pay for it, for example, do you think that nintendo only uses apple computers in their offices just because they compete with microsoft in gaming, i doubt it.
im sure if apple can pay for skype then so will nintendo (if they feel it would be worth it)

Oh yes, like Facetime, Skype, or Tango.
FaceTime is exclusive to Apple devices so it won't be on the Wii U. Skype is more likely to appear. Anyway, here's my app wish list:
iPlayer, 4OD and other TV catch up services
Sky Go
Angry Birds
Flight Control
Facebook/ Twitter
BBC/ Sky news apps
